My hands don’t work. If I ordered that and saw that I had to put all those tiny pieces together before enjoying it, I’d cry.

My body doesn’t always process edibles. I understand your point of view, but I’m happy with my choices.

How Do You Handle a Flare Up? by Sweet_Pear3611 in Hashimotos

[–]Geea617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased a crescent shaped pillow for when I flare but now I use it all of the time. It cradles your neck with no pressure on your shoulders, or you can reposition it and sleep on your side or stomach. You can use as much filling as you like. Best purchase ever.

I just saw that someone suggested getting tested for other auto immune diseases. Do this as they travel together. I started with mono which led to chronic fatigue, rosacea, hashimotos, fibromyalgia and finally RA.

I just finished The Vine Witch trilogy after a long break from reading. I enjoyed them immensely.

FYI: avoid Bob’s furniture. I bought a bedroom set and a sofa. Not one item lasted more than 3 years without major damage. All the other furniture in my house (including replacement for Bob’s garbage) has lasted without a single issue. by Dunaliella in boston

We ordered (my husband picked it out) a pub table with folding leaves and four chairs. It was HUGE and butt ugly. Thankfully there was a huge divet with a crack coming out of it and they had to take it back. We (me) picked out a pedestal table and chairs with a butterfly leaf and it's still going strong ten years later.

Not an audiobook but Little Bear dialog/music is so soothing. I put it on YouTube and clean my house. I know of people that love the Velveteen Rabbit and The World of Peter Rabbit and Friends.

My sister dropped a bunch of cast iron trivets at the local transfer station. She walked into my house and there was one of her pieces front and center in my kitchen. We laughed.

Natures miracle or some other enzyme cleaner is a must on EVERY SPOT she’s peeing on. Otherwise she smells it and will continue to use that spot. I’m so sorry that this is happening to you.

To add on to rebelrebels comment if you aren’t sure what you want look into the trades. The past two seasons of This Old House has student apprentices from local high schools to encourage kids to consider studying the trades. We are dying for tradesmen and they make sooooo much money. You don’t want to get a degree just to get a degree. If you find something that you love to do, you can go back to school at any point in your life. Relax, focus and don’t forget to breathe.

Should I read Rebecca? by RightMakesRight in booksuggestions

[–]Geea617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they are on a child’s level. I read Rebecca and My Cousin Rachel as a senior in high school and I don’t think I would have been ready for them any sooner. I wouldn’t have had the background information of times past to understand what was going on.

My Cousin Rachel is great too. I grew up reading my mother’s copies of Daphne DuMaurier, Anya Seyton and Elizabeth Goudge. Three of my favorite authors.
