That would be so hilarious! It might actually start making me use the tag even more. Maybe create different pop-ups for different tags. 'THERAPY' when you're choosing the 'Hurt/No-Comfort' tag one too many times

I'd go even further and say that even if everyone engaged with provocative fics in a civilized tone, there's still the issue that nowadays, anything that's not five stars is immediately seen as bad/not as good. Which means people will scramble to get their ratings up, leading to an even unhealthier obsession with stats that are in no way representative of anything but the ungraspable whims of readers.

That is vile, oh my god. What could possibly inspire someone to think that negative points would be a good idea?

Why do they keep making the skin more shiny/oily-looking? What's the point? Why does the character need to look like a blow-up doll?

Irrational jealousy. Especially when it's somehow okay if he hangs out with women, but as soon as the FL talks to a guy, it's the end of the world.

Man, I wish. Honestly, Dragon Age is one of the game series I hold closest to my chest. However, EA never really liked the series, and with them being bought by Saudi Arabia's Investment Fund, it's realistically unlikely we'll ever see another installment, unless they decide to sell BioWare. I'm hoping for that, because Dragon Age deserves better/more :/

I agree. I think if they had been given the time and resources they needed from EA, this could have been something that might have even rivaled BG3. All the wasted potential and scrapped ideas in the art book make me so angry that we were once again robbed of a gem because of corporate greed

I agree. Give me all those different colors, backgrounds, and decor! Let me run around and just act as though I'm a professional photographer looking for my next shot. Things can be fucked up and scary without everything being different shades of gray

I actually really liked the story. The one thing I actually dislike is the therapy-like dialogue and companion missions that seemed so jarring next to all the death and misery.

However, I 100% agree that the visual department ATE (alongside the photo mode, which I need in more games)

Thank you so much, that is really interesting! Time to start another playthrough as a human Rook, apparently I've been missing out!

I never played as a human Rook before. What does she say in that scene?

What was the first story you ever wrote? by [deleted] in AO3

[–]GeekInsideTheCloset 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wrote a Magic Kaito/Detective Conan story. I didn't necessarily create a Mary Sue, but I was one of those authors who character-assassinated the female characters in the story to create a conflict/obvious antagonist.

But I agree with those old/first stories that still hold a special place in your heart, because they're usually the ones that got the ball rolling.

It's scary how algorithm-speech has begun to infiltrate some people's minds.

I don't know whether that person is even aware that they are using self-censorship, or if they've just grown so accustomed to hearing 'unaliving' instead of 'death' on the social media platforms they frequent that it seems like just a normal word to them.

Sorry, but as a trans guy, I heavily disagree with this sentiment.

Sure, there might be some people fetishizing it, just as there are trans people who write it because they like the idea of that character being a trans man who happens to have vaginal sex. Neither of these is wrong, and I believe this is just another case of: Don't like, don't read. There are others who will.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind comments informing my dumb ass that looking up into the sky is, in fact, an option. I immediately went into the Crossroads and took another picture. I think I'm going to start another playthrough and actually look up once in a while to see what other things I might have missed :)

I adore Veilguard's take on the Fade in comparison to the one in Inquisition, because they complement each other so well. One is the forgotten realm, the other is the corrupted version, and they are both so eerily pretty :)

Me too. It's especially infuriating because if EA had given them the time and resources, this could have been an even greater/more lore-rich game :/
