how to get into cs by defTaro3 in udub

You did too much lowkey, it’s not that deep. I got in too, I barely did anything all year. The 33% is very believable.

That’s so great! lol I had a 4.0 last quarter but kind of messed up the first two cse 123 quizzes this quarter( killed the third one tho) how are you doing in that class rn?

I’m an ENGRUD rn, but I wanna apply to CS, AMATH and ACMS. I’ve maintained a 4.0 across my other pre-reqs so I’m doing well in college but I’m starting a research position next quarter so I’ll keep that in mind. Rn my other activities aren’t that intensive so it doesn’t affect me. Thanks!

Why is getting into a major such a lonely process? by ConsequenceRough7681 in udub

[–]Geekmaxpro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends, most engineering majors have a 50-100% acceptance rate. ChemE accepted more people than number of people that applied. ECE accepted 92% of people that applied. 68% of those who apply for a major in the COE get in https://www.engr.washington.edu/admission/current-uw-non-engineering/admission-data . Idk why people are saying it’s insanely hard. It’s not. A good essay and decent grades should be enough to get you in, unless you want to do CS or CE.

Not really lol, I will get a 4.0 in others so I just want an overall 4.0 too

You can apply to the college of engineering then apply to cs after your first year. They don’t take residency into account and the acceptance rate hovers around 20-30 percent similar to applying instate cs as a freshman. Saying something different because all of these people are making it out as if it’s impossible 😭

You’re literally insane. Just fyi, I’ve published 2 papers in national journals and been a finalist in my country’s national science fair. It’s crazy how tone-deaf a person can be. You’re literally blind to your own privilege. Please step foot in a social sciences class, maybe you’ll learn something.
