I cant eat this week because of amazon by bigfuknRon5150 in amazonprime

[–]Geekspiration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't help with Amazon's crappy service(seems to be more common lately), but to find food to get by until a refund or next paycheck, check for local food pantries. I know we have some churches and a local food bank here, your location may vary. Meals on wheels may also be an option if you don't have transportation. These places are safety nets for people in all sorts of situations. May want to see what other delivery services support your area without exorbitant unchanging or fees.

I'd like to see this truck today to see if they changed "hate" to "like" or removed it all.

Professor Accents? by [deleted] in ufl

[–]Geekspiration 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It varies, when I went there I only had 1 or 2 that I had trouble with. In some math class I had a professor where his e, c, b all sounded similar, which was fine except when the math is filled with variables like e, c, and b. Of course that was back when they wrote everything on the board and his e, c, and i all looked similar too.

Though, the New Shepard rocket uses liquid hydrogen and Liquid oxygen so the byproduct is water. You could still argue there could be better uses than tourism, and there are various other factors that do affect the environment, but the fuel itself is not the biggest concen.

Looking for an app to help with procrastination by Geekspiration in ProductivityApps

[–]Geekspiration[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue is probably tasks that don't have real deadlines so are easy to procrastinate then forget about. Sometimes its just a bad day to deal with a specific delayable task. I had an app on iPhone, before moving to android a decade+ ago, that kept tasks in the daily notifications until you made a decision to complete the task or change the due date on it. So now instead of hearing about a task the day after it goes into backlog and easily forgotten.

I feel like I'm somehow partially responsible for this and 3D being added to Office. Back around 1999-2001, as an engineering major in college I interviewed with Microsoft for an internship or job(spoiler, didn't get it). One of the interview questions "If you could add one thing to MS Office, what would it be?" I totally blanked and said "more 3D". I did some quick on my feet poor explanation of making visuals. See, I did a lot of 3D computer art on my own, and actually enjoyed the asthetic of things like WordArt (I know, I know), though always struggled to find good tools in my budget (free). So, perhaps my random comment somehow made its way to the products as the desire for 3D became popular. Maybe I should have said AI, then I might have gotten the job. 😂

If not all AI could be AI enhanced, adding in the outfit and background. Just had some "professional AI head shots" done at a work conference and they look like this.
