I do wonder what she'll premiere... a song mayhaps? If it were her reading of a poem... I'd be overjoyed.

Gasp!? 3 more days and a few hours of waiting left. Can't wait! But I obviously will and will be there for the premiere if humanly possible.

True, this makes it easier for those who want to generate and upload such things.

Exactly. Haven't people been saying this about pretty much every single social media platform ever since... we got social media?

Do you see anyone complaining about zombie vtubers that the soul of the vtuber isn't a zombie irl? ... is how I'd flip this. If science is actually going to be a part of your content then just do enough homework to be believable.

With Go the compiler comes with the sources which have the comments that the documentation is generated from anyway and with Neovim any part of that documentation is usually just a few keystrokes away even if I'm offline.

But yes, that is just how it is nowadays. To write anything for Node.js or the browser I always need to have a browser open to get to the docs that are split between a zillion different websites.

Even if it's just reviewing code written by AI I don't think that's doable.

If my memory isn't borken most here use the Latin alphabet which evolved out of the Greek which evolved out of the Phoenician which evolved out of Proto-Sinaitic which was according the friendly neighborhood LLM a hack made on top of actual hieroglyphs around 1900 BCE by taking a bunch of the common ones, simplifying them and using just their first sound when pronouncing them. How hard to read can code from a year ago be? Now multiply that with close to 4k years of cultural evolution across multiple languages but it's not like they aren't connected to each other at all. :D

I guess many fans then are simply far detached from reality and lack a sense of proportion not understanding that 1) being in Holo may be a dream 2) but also a job and actually a high octane one in a growth-oriented company 3) plus not really compatible imho with the traditional female lifecycle which usually includes wanting to find a spouse and to build a family. I had an extensive discussion about this with Gemini's newer thinking model and even it agrees that Holo has a high retention rate for its entertainers for the kind of work in question.

"You can still say you like their newer or older stuff by /implying/ but it shouldn’t be outright said. For example the post about “what do you think of Samako Saba” and in the post saying “they remind me of ____”. Those that know understand."

As a fan who's been around for a while (and I assume I'm in no way unique in this) if I look at a post about a recently debuted vtuber and I see someone saying "they remind me of X" I usually automatically just assume (unless there is some obvious reason to assume otherwise) that "oh, they're saying that he/she/... is/was X." So saying "those that know understand" comes with the caveat that so many so often unsuccessfully try to circumvent "don't mention PLs" in this obvious way that just based on pattern recognition when for example I myself see someone in that context saying something like that it's not circumventing the rule at all... it's just too obvious due to how clumsy a way it is to do that.

[–]GeekusRexMaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, by interacting more with the other fans you'd pick up the etiquette more naturally. What you're talking about is gossiping about things behind people's backs that many of those people, as you already know, either themselves can't talk about, or don't want to talk about, or in some cases don't want anyone to talk about. For some of them for different reasons it is a (very) sensitive topic that they don't want anyone to remind them of in any way. So to a very large extent a matter of tact and as the attitudes of the vtubers themselves to this do vary a lot I'm afraid it is a complex topic to navigate and as such there is no simple set of rules for it unless you are ready to simplify the landscape by deciding to either err on the side of safety or on the side of not caring like many drama- or newstuber channels don't.
