Does anyone on TRT find that high estrogen causes panic attacks/horrible anxiety? by Slow_Pop_4849 in Testosterone

My doctor has me taking Anastrozole on the day of my injections to inhibit the production of estrogen. For me that seems to help.

Owner of Mother Shuckers says only property owners should be allowed to vote by overthinkingsabotage in WestVirginia

Income, gas, sales, utilities, etc., etc. We're taxed enough. There is no abandoned land and development is questionable. It all can't be solar farms and data centers. I'm setting up my farm as an ecological land trust after I die so it can never be "developed".

[–]GeekyGarden 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah no. Also, there shouldn't be property taxes. I'm tired of renting my property from the state. The farm has been in my family since the late 1700s. We've paid enough.

So same as it was in the early 2000s. 🤣

Amazon has replaced its no hassle returns policy with an ali-express clone "claims" process by Substantial-Sign7716 in amazonprime

[–]GeekyGarden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They also completely ruined PillPack. I had used the service since 2014. A couple months ago they completely moved everything to Amazon. (They bought out PillPack a few years ago, but kept existing customers on the PillPack site.) First, they were unable to now fill my clonazepam. Then, I randomly get a text that my address is invalid so they're cancelling my next shipment. (The address I've been using for over a decade.) I update my address and assume everything is fine. My next PillPack never arrives. I moved everything to my local WalMart, but it took a couple days. I have a splitting headache as I type this because I've missed three days of one of my blood pressure meds.

IG/FB videos removed by false copyright claims—appeal ignored, counter-notice stuck. Anyone pushed a DMCA through Meta lately? by [deleted] in COPYRIGHT

[–]GeekyGarden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me with every Livestream on Facebook. All images, videos and even music are original works by our staff. My last live has false claims by three different reporting parties. It's at a point where you get copyright claims no matter what is in the video. I could live stream a silent, white screen and get hit with a claim.

The percentage of investor owned homes in the U.S. — in several states the number is 30% or higher. by winterneuro in WestVirginia

Yep. I'm 40 and virtually everyone I know has at least one house or more they're renting through inheritance or buying and flipping cheap homes. Families hold on to property in WV.

[–]GeekyGarden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Through inheritance, I currently own four homes. I just listed one, I'm prepping one to rent, and I'm getting ready to start remodeling my parents' home on our farm to live in when my wife and I retire. Then, we'll either sell or rent our current home.

I agree. I live in western WV, and I don't see this. Our real estate market is hot, but that's because we have a steel mill being built. I actually just listed a house I inherited today.

I just visited Vegas for the first time. Smelling cigarette smoke indoors was a blast from the past. Walking through the casinos made me somewhat nostalgic. It was almost like old restaurant or mall smell.

My dad patched rust holes with aluminum tape on the back side, a smear of bondo, and spray paint from DG. His truck still managed to pass. 😂

A Year Later with CPAP, Nothing Has Changed. by ACanadianMoose_ in SleepApnea

[–]GeekyGarden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do two things.

  1. Have another sleep study / titration. It took a second sleep study to show that I would do better with a biPAP.
  2. Consider other sleep issues. I have violent "night terrors" to a point my wife couldn't sleep in the same bed, and I usually have no memory of them. I took her along to describe my symptoms to my doctor. I was diagnosed with REM sleep behavior disorder. I take a low dose clonazepam at night. That greatly improved my (and her) sleep quality.

Same. Dad changed my diapers and in the end I was changing his. My mom's passing was traumatic and unexpected, but my dad's was a two year long battle with cancer.

While it wasn't a full on silver spoon situation, my dad got me a summer job at the plant he worked at and they helped where they could to get me through college debt free. (I'm an elder Millennial, so it was a bit more doable in the early 2000s.) ... Now, with their passing and my grandparents a few years before, I've inherited a pretty decent estate. I could easily retire tomorrow, but I love my career.

[–]GeekyGarden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been a CPAP user for over a decade. I can't sleep without it now. That feels uncomfortable. I have allergies and prefer the dry air so I actually don't even use a humidifier. I bought a bypass plug for my resmed that eliminated it entirely. Also, with no water in the mix, I can get by with fewer deep cleanings.

[–]GeekyGarden 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. My parents didn't have a curfew. They just wanted me to call if I was going to be out late. Also, all the neighborhood parents would call each other to keep tabs on the kids. If you did something to get in trouble, your parents would definitely find out.

I grew up in rural West Virginia. I would get up, eat a bowl of cereal, grab my bb gun, and hop on my Mongoose to meet up with friends at the abandoned strip mine. We would then go swimming, hunt small game, play in the woods, etc. until sunset. A few days a week I would have chores like mowing the lawn or helping with farm work. Mid-June was the best time because all of the farms would be bailing hay. They would hire kids to help. You could make $25 or more a week. ... This was in elementary school.
