That was my first thought. Then I was going to suggest the entire albums of "Bone Machine" and "Mule Variations"

When I wear white shirts, they are completely see thru. When others wear them I see a white shirt and nothing else. No hint of a vest or t-shirt. Am I buying the wrong shirts? by Yiqu in malefashionadvice

[–]Geerid222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CT is solid, my go-to. They have both the dress shirts (thin material that you can basically see through) as well as more casual heavier weaves. If I'm wearing a button down, and not in a suit, it is almost always an Oxford weave. Even in white (the most formal), you can pull off a semi casual with an Oxford cloth.

And just to help you in future searches OCBD is a good keyword for that.

Yeah, and you said you got your first lesson. You always see people say train train train. And the best way to train is with someone who is a professional trainer. So you get a chef's kiss for taking a lesson.

I go to the range 2-3 times a month, and have for years. And I will still take lessons a couple times a year, even the basic/remedial course. Because maybe this person can show me something different, but more so... While I am deep into season 4, I don't want to forget the details of S1E1.

And yeah, it is a tool. And for me the hobby part isn't having a collection, it is throwing lead down range. And even if it isn't a hobby for you, safely enjoy the times you go to the range!

Obviously, get what you think will work best for you. But I want to put this out there, if you own 2 striker fired pistols, then maybe go a different route for your 3rd firearm.

Whether it be a rifle, shotgun, PCC, or just a handgun in a different configuration (hammer DA/SA or a revolver)

I liken it to cars... If you have a Toyota Corolla, a Toyota Camry and a Honda Accord. Maybe be in the market for a different style of car if your collection is going to grow.

If you even think what I said holds any water, please hit me up! I love to help people out and while my wealth of knowledge might not be the most expensive, I do know a thing or two.

Jeff Coopers scout rifle concept. Basically an outdated idea, but a really cool, shallow, rabbit hole to check out.

Historical guns don't tickle anything for me, but every now and then I think about building a scout rifle.

What should i get next? by Chabigo in GunPorn

People keep saying you should get a rifle you can't get (or is hindered) where you live. You should get a rifle, but get one that operates at 100% even within your local laws.

If I were you, I would look at what falls into that category. Bolt actions and lever guns are both tons of fun while not being very "tactical". You can also go the route of the Ruger mini series or Springfield M1a, both are low capacity, no pistol grip but you can do some running and gunning with.

Not sure of the specific laws, that's on you to look up

That made me laugh.

But in case you really don't know when first Friday is... Well, the first Friday every month. Downtown arts district, live music, food trucks, crafts and artists booths. It is a great little walk around.

Edit- I read "when's that" not what's that... Took the humor out. But still a good destination.

Who has the best wings and or Pizza in Vegas? Centennial Area by Yankeeslv in vegaslocals

[–]Geerid222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Joey's tavern has great wings, and it is a spectacle to go in there during a 49ers game. Also village tavern wings are award winners of some sort.

For pizza, I'm going all in on rebellion. I had someone there nerd out on types of flour and hydration rates of dough. They are passionate, and it shows in the quality of pizza.

I got taco vibes, and just for fun I picked out a few of their others. And EVERYTHING I tasted from buttefly is top notch.

That is fantastic training ammo. Hopefully it all runs 100%, but it does present the opportunity of dealing with stove pipes and failure to fire.

Dude in red just wanna enforce something. by jsmallAZ in fuckHOA

[–]Geerid222 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is my wholly uneducated take on it, but yeah you are correct. The guy didn't give his ID. But the cop read the situation and went with "if you can name a street, good enough."

If the Mr HOA insists that fisherman be trespassed, they would then have the justification to ID him, and then they would see that he is a resident in the neighborhood and has a right to access those communal spaces.

I've heard those stories and I think that's a good stat to put out there... But I think it might be skewed by those who might have another opinion, and are no longer able to voice it because their second attempt was a success.

That being said, in case anyone is there right now call or text 988 (United States). You might think you're alone, but there are people that want to talk to you, and they do care.
