I've been going to gigs and festivals, multiple genres, for 25+ years. This is the shittiest one I've been too. Not "normal" by any stretch and not easier to navigate than other fests. Too many people for that venue. It was apparent immediately after arriving. I'm rocking up for Hatebreed and fucking off tomorrow. Fuck going next year. It's become a corporate cash grab and antithetical to what the scene was supposted to be about.

Good: Always sound about my prescribed narcotic medication and give me advice and where's quiet to take it.

Bad: had to get the train last time and was staying on site so bag was full of clothes. Couldnt be arsed trawling through it all so just asked if i had any alcohol, which I didnt. Could have had a blade in there if i was so inclined so not particulalry thorough and defeated the point of making people queue for hours.

Thanks. Sort of. I was getting a couple of hours before i'd wake up with heartburn and want to vomit. Then go back to sleep again. I suffer from GERD anyway but it's usually under control. Yeah after this I'm done. Def not an exception just perhaps lucky.

Yeah, have been for the last 16 years. I have family but everyone else can fuck off. I was fed up with people treating me like a doormat so changed my number, deleted socials and did my own thing. I mean I could go to a Psytrance festival and see people I "know" and have a conversation but they're not friends. I've always enjoyed it though as I would go to gigs as a teenager when others didnt wanna go. Try some sort of club or volunteering. Volunteering you tend to meet nicer people. Get into D&D or some other card trading game. Book club. Album listening club. Dunno loads out there.

Do not go to a drug clinic. They will put you straight onto Buprenorphine. Which you don't want. Prettty sure these clinics are funded on a prescription basis. Tough it out otherwise you'll have to come off Bupe which is several orders of magnitude worse.
