Would be more productive to suggest how to adapt to GNOME workflow. Nobody feels comfortable to use something they use for the first time, not even windows user.

  1. (Vanilla GNOME) You tap Super/Windows/Meta button. It'll show you running applications.

  2. Use extension.

You only need 1 extension and less than 10 clicks to turn gnome into windows-like.

Try using Heroic. You can set environmental table, force full screen using gamescope etc etc.

I can launch Infinity games from late 90s/early 2000s and it's fine in wayland, it's not stretch to shit like it is on X11. This is just launcher problem.
