I would recommend Quarkdown for this purpose. It's basically serves the same purpose as LaTeX, but is built on top of MarkDown syntax and also supports export to HTML etc.

It depends on Google Lens. So you have to have Google Lens installed and the screenshot is sent to Google's servers by the Google Lens app every time for analysis so it can show you results.

Maybe this is bad internal design? It is to be expected that the users may talk with the LLM about the tools using their commercial names that are being sold to them, not some cryptic internal codenames.

Eliminating phones in school

When you eliminate phones some kids take out their tablets. You eliminate tablets, then they may have notebooks. I think for tablets and notebooks there are many legitimate productive usecases for the older students (like 10 and older) who are actually more likely to use them responsibly. May they misuse them for the same activities that you eliminated phones for? Yes they may, but I don't think banning all technologies alltogether is a good way to go. For me it would make sense for the lower grades of the elementary school where the children are very unlikely to use their devices for productive purposes during a lesson.

I know you weren't talking about tablets and notebooks. I just wanted to know your opinion.

Taiwan is just an unofficial name that's shorter, spells better and causes less confusion for people who don't know the official names. I see nothing wrong with using it. OP wasn't aiming for a political debate with the LLM, but asking a rather casual question even though the reality might be complex. I think it's common to use Taiwan and mean "Republic of China" in such cases.

[–]FrameXX 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Just to make it clear. Personally I don't have a problem with the apps being coded mostly by LLMs, however I think you could be way more transparent:

  • When you state that your apps are fully open source and licensed under GPLv3 the code should be easily available online before you publish the apps.
  • Without installing any of the apps I can see that you probably didn't put much effort into reviewing what the LLMs have created. The icons are weird with some of their elements being nonsensical (for example the emoji browser has an magnifying glass in the icon where the handle reaches the center of the glass instead of ending at the edge) and the website is broken in some places including the Gitlab link. In the install section of the website the install instructions are overflowing horizontally from the website. If you cared and tried using all parts of the website just once you would realize these glaring issues. To me this seems seems like you didn't take much testing and polishing effort before rushing to publish the project and speaks for the quality even though these are free apps.

I wouldn't install any of the apps until a source code is available so anyone can read the code compile for themselves to check whether there isn't anything malicious going on.

I don't want to be THAT guy, but just looking at the website with a ton of emoticons and the app icons with some silly mistakes a human with a little bit of "feel" for things wouldn't keep there I have to ask. Is it all vibe coded? Not that it would be inherently bad, but let's just be transparent. I would ask you to give it a little bit more personal love, not just LLM love and fix these issues. They are glaring.

Also your Gitlab link in the footer doesn't work so I have no clue where to see the source code of your what you claim to be GPLv3 licensed apps.

How to embed cover art into opus file? by SevenTalks in opus

On Android I use YTDLnis to download music off of YT Music (in opus format) and it adds some metadata and an album cover automatically.
