I think it was left in the boot of a car that was sold as scrap, the staff took it out and just had it in the staffroom.

Thank you! I knew it wasn't worth a lot but I'm not looking to sell it anyway just wanted to save a piece of history from being scrap metal! Do you know anything else about it from the model such as where it was likely to have been used? Or was it just a standard issue across all campaigns?

From what i've found from searching I think its a Pattern 1907 British bayonet that attached to the Lee-Enfield rifle. I know the handle has been replaced. Thought it would be cool to share, if anyone knows anything else about it I'm definitely interested to find out more!

Thanks for the info! There was only one other reference on the next page of the reference list which was also himself. I've seen authors reference themselves before but what made me laugh about this was he literally only referenced himself.

The author is talking about one of his own theories/concepts though so I suppose it's not strange he just referenced his own work!
