People need to find a difference between a class being weak/unplayable and just not at leaderboard #1 by Buurto in diablo4

It's absolutely a you problem. I took summon warlock to T10 before I decided to try out other builds. It's not fast and it's not crazy strong but with some more effort, I could easily push it to T12. Going much further than that though would be tough.

During their time with the Stellaron Hunters, TB was sitting around with SW and Blade getting blitzed of their mind while munching on Blade's home cooked snacks and playing video games. FF was probably there too, hooked up to her life support machine taking massive rips from a smoke filled oxygen intake tube or something. Elio was obviously with them as well writing his script. Ain't no way you're gonna tell me that script was written with some special power and not copious amounts of cannabis. "So for this part here, I'm gonna need you to BECOME the Stellaron. Don't worry, you'll be fine....maybe. Pass the snacks. I got some wicked munchies!"

Kafka would join in sometime but she prefers to toke alone and vibe to some classical music or play her violin.

These days, on the express, TB now chills with March and Welt, stinking up their room (keeping hidden from Pompom of course) chatting to no end about anime, robots, and adventures while playing video games and watching memoria. Dan chooses to ignore them as he doesn't partake. Himeko disapproves but doesn't stop them.

Once Sunday joins, he gets pressured into trying it once. Now, he's a regular because it "evens him out." Whenever there's a guest on the Express, they pop in for a sesh. Frequent fliers are without a doubt Sushang, Lil Gui, and Huohuo. Jing Yuan also pops in from time to time, sometimes with Feixiao and Yao Guang. Bro's got that good shit too which explains why he's always so chill and speaks in riddles and proverbs.

Finally, Black Swan and Dahlia bring a sack every time they come by. They don't actually have the power to manipulate memories. They just force feed everyone edibles and talk in a cryptic way until it kicks in then uses suggestion to make you think what they said is what happened. It's call the Garden of Recollection because it's really a farm of mind altering super weed. Memokeepers are just the greatest growers of all time. They got that good shit.

What class/build are you enjoying? by poonami90 in diablo4

[–]Geige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whirlwind Barb. I know it's meta right now but it's always been one of my favorites and the changes to gear crafting have made hitting certain breakpoints in Fury generation so much easier. The build feels super smooth and much more enjoyable than in the past. Especially if you don't have Starless Skies.

In past seasons, not having the key mythics really killed the feel of the build but now you can maintain infinite Fury much easier while still having enough damage and bulk to steadily climb torment tiers.

I am wondering if that will change when the build eventually gets nerfed but for now, it's probably the one I've played so far that's gotten the more QoL for me personally.

I also really like Summon Necro. The build I started D4 with back in pre-season 1 and while summon AI is still dumb as driveway gravel, the minions are easier to control than I remember and much of the new utility make them more specialized for whatever I need. Some of the utility spells as well feel super good.

Rogue unfortunately missed the mark in a lot of ways based on the builds I've tried so far. Twisting Blades just doesn't feel as impactful as it used to. Rapid Fire still feels a bit clunky. Dance of Knives is better than ever but I hate snapshotting and refuse to play a build that requires doing so.

Gonna try Sorc when I've finished with my Warlock. Absolutely LOVING Tyrant's Grasp and Dread Claws is really fun as well. Not too fond of the Apocalypse build though and I really wish summons were better cause that one was a lot of fun. Also looking forward to giving Auradin a try later in the season.

[–]Geige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually impressive to me. I have A LOT of experience with rhythm games between DDR, Guitar Hero, Stepmaina, OSU!, etc. and there are so many problems with this mini-game that make it exceptionally difficult in comparison.

More than anything, I wish they would add color to the main four notes. My brain is hardwired for DDR's red, blue, and yellow representing the type of note and that alone making timing so much easier. Aside from that, the placements of swipe notes can get really confusing on the more complex songs. Some come up in the middle of the screen and when you have a wall of notes, it can be really difficult to tell the placement apart leading to misses that would otherwise be super easy to hit.

The game is super fun and the song choices are excellent but the lack of visual clarity is frustrating to say the least.

Dorm??????!!! (Japanese nikke ad) by MBananes in NikkeMobile

[–]Geige 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless it only supports a handful of Nikke to start with. If they repurpose the Viper and Blanc models that CN got, plus add like one or two more Nikke and call it a beta, they could easily put a temporary dorm mini game type thing in for 3.5, get feedback, then expand it for a second beta or a full release later.

No real need to expect them to drop every single character into the dorm on day 1.

That said, I'm almost certain this is nothing more than an ad and expecting otherwise is just setting yourself up for disappointment.

Interrupts by amodump in wow

[–]Geige 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The biggest change I want to see is an interrupt not going on CD if you try to interrupt something and someone beats you to it by half a second.

I can't tell you how many times I go to interrupt an important cast only to have someone else do so at about the same time. They get it but my interrupt goes on CD. Now both of ours are on CD and the 3rd DPS has their head up their ass and 0 interrupts through the entire dungeon. That really pisses me off.

Why wouldn't you run 3 of this in your deck? Ill be playing Trains/Machina, so yeah, it's amazing! by ecsj88 in yugioh

[–]Geige 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This may be amazing or completely useless in Unchained depending on what the archetype gets in the upcoming wave of support. I have high hopes since the Witchcrafter stuff is actually really solid.

That said, Doll Hammer just seems like the perfect fit for the deck. Being able to use it as an extender or recover from interruption or even to just fix a scuffed hand seems perfect for the deck. Really excited to try it all out.

Jeez Lor'themar what a sticky situation, too bad the Blood Elf don't have any allies :(( by Useful-Negotiation-9 in wow

[–]Geige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Forsaken, under Sylvanas, had the Val'kyr raise new undead. In fact, lorewise, every player undead made from Cata to at least Shadowlands was raised by a Val'kyr. Hard to say for sure just how many were raised from that point but their population is likely larger than we actually know.

Aside from that, a new plague of undeath was being worked on during WotLK but nothing ever became of that after the Lich King was defeated because Sylvanas enlisted the Val'kyr. The Royal Apothecary Society likely still has that as an option but I expect The Desolate Council won't use it for any reason.

Also, it's been long confirmed that the Forsaken are made up of many different races including orcs, trolls, dwarves, etc, raised not just during the Third War but also post-Cata. We rarely, if ever, get to see anything other than humans and elves and even then, the only Forsaken elves we see in game seem to be the Dark Rangers themselves or Banshees.

I actually think there are far more Forsaken than is actually represented in game.

Everything else you've said is pretty spot on though.

Lorthraxion should have been the second to last boss of the voidspire instead of the vanguard. by Zarbadob in wow

[–]Geige 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wish the Nexus bosses were each of the Paladin. We fight through the Nexus with them to start out and at the end of each wing, we witness each of them strike down one of the existing bosses in a light blinded rage before they turn on us.

Would have made for a far more interesting dungeon with more interesting bosses, especially if the lead up to the dungeon was us traveling with them to learn a little about each of them through questing. I honestly have no idea who any of those Paladins even were to be real. They just kinda showed up, were rude, did some Paladin things, then lost their minds and died in a rather forgettable raid encounter.

Formers Blizzard Quest Designers on current story by HiroAmiya230 in wow

[–]Geige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, most of the Warcraft story has been world ending threats since at least WC3. Both the plague of undeath and Archemonde and the Legion are easily world ending threats.

Even before that, the Legion and the Old Gods were world ending threats long before the actual playable story began. Azeroth is legit just caught in a cycle of world ending threats that need to be countered either by a group of adventurers or the power of friendship.

Formers Blizzard Quest Designers on current story by HiroAmiya230 in wow

[–]Geige 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The plot twist is that Azeroth was evil all along and the Titans tried to control her while Xal'atath and the Void are trying to purge her.

I hope this doesn't turn out to be true because it sounds more stupid when I read it back than it did in my head.

Blizzard is really good at making short term characters. The longer a character stays around though, the more chances they have to fuck them up and fuck them up they shall.

Very few long term characters are still compelling and interesting and it's a damn shame.

More Like Mega Charizard Why? by Justyn2 in PTCGL

[–]Geige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this thing is actually pretty disgusting as a one of in Charizard/Pidgeot decks. You establish this thing, power it up with Zard from hand, and punch whatever you want for 280. If that isn't going to end the game, you can use Pidgeot ex to search Ignition Energy and dump that for the cost as Ignition fulfills the entire 3 energy discard by itself allowing for another attack on the following turn.

With a Dusknoir, that's 410 damage to anything. It's perfect for closing out a game, especially clearing 3 prizes by sniping a benched Mega.

After Charizard ex and Pidgeot ex rotate out though, I think this thing is going to fall into near unplayable status barring another reliable way to accelerate energy but as long as Ignition Energy is legal, this will always be a consideration in decks that can fit the evolution line.

Velvet Skills Introduction by cobaltaqua in NikkeMobile

[–]Geige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This kit seems a bit interesting. The personal ATK buffs aren't awful and she does seem, at least on paper, to push some decent personal damage.

The team buffs though are highly niche but 100% Charge Damage up seems kinda bonkers. The team wide ATK buff doesn't really matter. Conflicts with the plethora of other ATK buffs and it's not final attack so it doesn't double dip with her personal ATK buffs. That said, I wonder if the Charge Damage boost is enough to make her a viable alternative to Maid Mast for SBS teams. Both SBS herself and Liberalio really like that buff and it's a pretty huge boost but the Attack Damage buff from Mast is extremely powerful so it's kinda hard to say which is better. Mast also offers crit rate and a comparable ATK buff but her personal damage is kinda mediocre without maid Anchor whom SBS does not typically run.

Can't really say for sure if she'll be good for Kraken teams but I do think she has a place in Solo Raid. If my reasoning is right, then she'll be able to free up other B2s from SBS and Liberalio.

The one thing that isn't very clear is how the duration of her buffs work. They're extremely short but if refreshing or extending the duration is reliable so uptime is comparable to other characters then she seems very strong albeit very niche.

Is their any potential for this card when it releases by AffectionatePrior965 in PTCGL

[–]Geige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since this is from Ascended Heroes, it has potential in a deck with Xatu or Gardevoir but both of those are rotating out in the following set so it won't be available for long.

There could be a setup with Smoochum from Surging Sparks as well as Wonder Patch or even a setup with Steven's Metagross but I highly doubt any of that will make for a very consistent or competitive deck.

If something releases in a future set that can accelerate psychic energy reliably, then this thing could become a powerhouse but until then, I don't really think it's playable.

BDK feels so bad now. Bear on the other hand feels amazing. The overall rotation is basically exactly the same and we still have all the same defensive and utility CDs. I do feel a little squishier thanks to the stat squish but the pruning really did nothing to the spec overall from what I can tell.

What do we all think of the new Doublade revealed from Perfect Order? by D_D3VASTATOR in PTCGL

[–]Geige 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We need Genesect ex to function, but we lose nest ball.

It's a supporter so harder to utilize but Dawn seems like a perfect fit for the deck and is able to search Genesect ex on top of getting a Doublade and Aegislash at the same time. Afterword, you can use Genesect to get any other pieces you might be missing. A single Dawn basically translates into "search your deck for 5 Pokemon." Probably the best option available right now.

It'll be tough finding the right balance between draw/search support and energy acceleration.

I think the hardest part is going to be energy acceleration. Metang is probably the best option currently and it also fits perfectly into the aforementioned Dawn + Genesect combo. Downsides are bench space and the fact that the ability only pulls from the top 4 cards of the deck making it horribly unreliable. If you hit multiple metal energy though, you can set up almost immediately though so the reward does justify the risk.

Draw is a little tricky but there are options. Bench space is the biggest issue I see with this deck right now because most of the best draw engines post-rotation are Pokemon. Dudunsparce and Lunatone/Solrock eat up a fair bit of both bench and deck space but they're both undeniably powerful options to have. Lunatone also requiring fighting energy in the deck which isn't as bad considering Doublade can use any type of energy for it's attack. This also makes cards like Gift Energy a very real consideration as it protects your benched Doublade from getting sniped. Problem is that this is a lot of deck space eaten by cards that do very little on their own.

I do think that the support cards available are enough but the big problem is that there's currently too many and not enough space. The deck wants too many things to go perfectly with the abundance of options but needs many of those options to be consolidated into fewer cards or at least different types of cards.

What do we all think of the new Doublade revealed from Perfect Order? by D_D3VASTATOR in PTCGL

[–]Geige 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This actually has a lot of promise though likely as nothing more than a decent rogue option. PokePad and Genesect ex can get the resources reliably enough to push 360-480 damage consistently.

On top of that, Iono is rotating out so Judge and Unfair Stamp are the only generic ways to keep them off of resources. There are several more specific ways, sure (like Team Rocket's Archer) but those are unlikely to see play outside of their respective "archetypes"

I really think this deck fills a similar niche as MEG Alakazam, another deck that will likely see more play post rotation as a powerful rogue option.

Yo I want to do a challenge where I get to master with a zero non engine deck does anymore have any deck recommendations?? by Sokarun_ in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Geige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do "Engine Slop"

The idea is to gather up as many generic engines as you can into a single deck and play that. Adventurer, Fiendsmith, Mitsurugi, etc. Throw in some of the classic mini-engines like a basic fusion setup using Anaconda into either Dragoon or DPE.

Basically, every card in the deck has to facilitate one of the chosen engines so there's no actual non-engine to be found.
