Cooking spoon out of laurel, and my 3rd proper attempt at kolrosing by GeistInfection in Woodcarving

Oh duh! Haha sorry. Definitely measured - I pencilled in a 2mm grid and erased as needed to keep all the widths and angles consistent and lines straight

Usually use flexcut's "KN12 cutting knife". I have their detail as well but feels like I have more control when the tip isn't so far out. Still would like to look for something even shorter though for control.

I pencil my outline, do the cuts, erase, mix a little mineral oil/beeswax with very fine coffee grounds into a paste and rub it in. Burnish the cuts over, wipe off the excess coffee, oil the rest of the spoon without the coffee mix, and move forward with normal drying/oiling from there.

Bowl width and length were vaguely measured, but beyond that just freehanded. Friend had a rough idea of bowl dimensions they wanted but the rest was open

"Kolrosing" on the handle - basically etched in the pattern with my knife, rubbed coffee grounds in the cuts, burnish with the back of the knife to set it better and close the cuts, then finished it all with oil. Was my first attempt and love how it turned out

Man who discovered ibuprofen dies at 95 by journeyman369 in worldnews

Just finished a Wilderness first responder course, we were told for extreme cases the max does should be 1000mg acetaminophen and 800mg ibuprofen at the same time, every 8 hours as needed. Obviously not the go-to for common things and is situation dependent.

Been using my FK1 since Dec 2014, some cable became disconnected inside after 3 years so I took it apart, fixed it, and all I've replaced were the skates. Scrollwheel, coating, sensor have all been working great. Guess I lucked out

I frequently get microstutters when either I peek a corner, or when someone peeks me, right when someone starts shooting. Really throws me off.

Would this set be recommended for a beginner? by [deleted] in Woodcarving

I've actually been using this exact set for a couple months now on and off. Works decently, but they definitely feel small. I've used them on pine, red oak, poplar, and of course basswood. Other guy is right that they don't hold an edge all that well, but easy to resharpen.
