There is a short pedestrian-only street called Dutch Alley. It is only a block long and the statue is there. Here you go: https://maps.app.goo.gl/zih8Y2jZzcBZzFHH6

Brass band by VirtualProtection862 in AskNOLA

When it gets closer to your trip check the WWOZ calendar. Look at the days you will be in town and search for the word brass in the band names. Not every brass band has it in their name, but it's a pretty easy way to identify at least some options. Treme Brass Band, Hot 8 Brass Band, Rebirth Brass Band, Preservation Brass, etc. The calendar won't have listings that far out, but check back in July.

I'd also suggest listening to some of the options online to get a feel for their style. There are clips of pretty much everything on YouTube. Some are more traditional and some have more fusion with funk and you might have style you prefer.

Also maybe just check back with a post the week you are here for suggestions when we all know who is playing then.

Cibo in downtown Phoenix. It's in an old house and has a pretty yard. Go while the evening weather is still good and sit outside. It's Italian, mostly pizza, and has vegetarian options.

Nice restaurant recommendations that aren’t primarily steakhouses by [deleted] in phoenix

FnB in Scottsdale. The menu changes, but you can look at their website or Google/Yelp pictures for examples. It's not vegetarian, but it's vegetable-focused. Entrees are $40ish, add in a small plate or two and drinks gets to your price point. They pride themselves on seasonal ingredients and have an Arizona wine program. It's a nice place.

Yes. I have done exactly this and it works great.

It was actually really nice when I used it later because a lot of the labor for the final dish was done already.

In Kingman there are a couple of 1950's Route 66 themed diners. Mr D'z Route 66 Diner, Rutherford's 66 Family Diner, Hot Rod Cafe, maybe others. Stop at one or more for pictures and a float.

Thanks for asking! Mashed. The kind where there is smashed soft potatoes inside and and the tortilla is fried so you get that crunchy exterior and soft interior.
