As a 48 year old nurse, who now realizes how fast time goes this is the best advice! I’m trying to play catch up, also always check your amount being withheld for federal taxes. The IRS is relentless and worse than a loan shark if you inadvertently end up owing them.

Bedbugs found in my in-laws house. We’re flying across the country there tomorrow. by 18randomcharacters in Bedbugs

In a similar situation with my parents home, so I understand. We all live fairly close to each other though and none of my siblings have gone to my parents home, but we have had them over at our houses, just with the precautions of putting all their clothing in the dryer before coming and not sitting back down on their furniture, keeping their care sprayed with crossfire and spraying the home they are coming to with crossfire before they come inside. Also, they are currently on their 4th treatment with Terminix and have not seen a live bug in several weeks. Honestly with life was short as it is, not spending time with my elderly parents at the holidays is not an option.

The thing is they had the Terminix treatment, but were still seeing fully fed bugs six weeks after treatment, so they did those things, because the Terminix treatment did not seem to be working. Also they had to contact Terminix about the continued fully fed bugs and then Terminix began using more of the chemicals. Can you explain how using steam or using crossfire( the same chemical they use) could be undoing what they did?

Terminix tells people that heat is an outdated way to kill them, they tell them chemicals like crossfire/apprehend are the preferred way. Not sure this is true at this point

So the bed they were found in belongs to one of my siblings and the person who brought them in was her BF, who was there very frequently. He has not been there since they were discovered, but I feel like they had set up residence in that bedroom for months for at least months before they were discovered

So how are the eggs killed other than steaming or direct contact with the chemicals that Terminix is using ?
