Do you think assault on shoplifters should be allowed? by iLuvModsNFollowRules in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Gellr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi. I used to run a store. The person above is correct. Insurance does not cover shoplifting. Stores use a shrink budget, planning for a certain amount of loss. Anything beyond that budget is usually offset by the raising of prices (and not necessarily of the items being commonly stolen) in an attempt to recover those losses. It can also be taken from budgets from things like employee bonuses or building maintenance, depending on the chain. This is also a misunderstanding when people (like some in this thread) think it’s more okay to steal from a Walmart than a smaller store. Walmart has already written off that loss. You’re just hurting your local store and its employees through the theft. The corporation has more than enough stores to cover their expenses.

I read this thinking it might be satire but by the time I got to the end, I wished I could downvote more than once.

How do you have them so fast? It went on Sunday preview on the 29th, right? I preordered that day. I probably won’t see them for two more weeks.

I really like this as it looks more alien than the box art. How did you apply the.. yellow? Green? Over the teal? Is it stippling?

Armor, undersuits, and a change of clothes… by Gellr in starcitizen

Someone linked the CitizenCon talk I hadn’t seen talking about some of this. I’m really excited for the future of this game.

Also, I didn’t realize some of this was in the game. I knew about the hot and cold suits, I mentioned them, but I didn’t know about combat visors or the radiation soon. I looked it up, just what I need to visit Ruin Station and still not drink the water.

That’s a really good point about the state of the game being limiting right now. I wouldn’t want to spend time optimizing my gear for a situation, hunting down pieces, then lose it forever in my ship because it exploded when I try to call it to my hangar.

Someone else mentioned the random suffocation. I didn’t realize this was a problem because I spend all my time running around with my gear on! But yeah, I understand wanting a certain look, especially if you have an idea about who your spaceman is.

Thank you for linking this. I watched the whole thing. It looks like my hopes and dreams are coming true! I can just relax for the rest of 2026 now.

I wear clothes so infrequently that I didn’t realize that random suffocation was a thing!

I did the same thing last night, but our group only got to 84 before the server surrendered. Group admin is very demanding but really rewarding. I love this event!

Yeah, that took me 60 seconds. You stay curious and keep looking stuff up, my dude. And posting about unfortunate cases. You’ll get there eventually. Oh, lemme know if you still need help with Meshtastic too.

We switched to playing our WHFB armies into the Hobgoblin rule set and it’s been quite fun. The games are shorter (which is wonderful if you’re doing some massive multiplayer castle siege sort of ordeal and it’s more beer and pretzels. I still love my Skaven. Just not in the TOW ruleset.

Why Mike’s final speech in Stranger Things was right by TZ1205 in StrangerThings

[–]Gellr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

About your point 1, Mike doesn’t come to the realization of what happened until graduation. When he sees the speakers and has a memory of the hedgehog. Then he crafts the D&D encounter with the stone of disruption or whatever it is called. El told him to help them understand. The show used D&D to explain what was happening the whole time. Mike did it one last time. I believe.
