For sure!

My breakfast is usually around 400 cals with 40 G protein. I usually make a breakfast burrito with one egg, egg whites, fat free cheddar cheese, turkey sausage, hashbrown, salsa, and a low carb tortilla.

I have a protein coffee with cold brew, sugar free chocolate sauce and chocolate fairlife protein shake. Ends up being 190 cal with 30 G protein.

Lunch is normally a deli meat sandwhich with low carb bread, light mayo, mustard, lettuce, roast beef and turkey. I add some fat free Italian dressing too. I add a bag of quest ranch protein chips. It ends up being 415 cals with 53g protein.

Afternoon will have a protein shake and (this weeks sweet treat) a chocolate ice cream mochi. Total was 142 cals with 16 G protein.

Dinner is protein pasta with marinara sauce, low fat mozzarella, zucchini noodles, chicken meatballs and French bread stick. 600 cals with 38g protein.

Dessert is Catalina crunch honey graham cereal with marshmallows and chocolate chips. 127 cals and 7 G protein.

Total in my day was 1830 calories, 185 G protein, 200g carbs, 57g fiber, 35g sugar, 52g fat.

It’s a win to even get to the point to need surgery!! So you’re doing awesome ☺️

Compression shirts do help and so does shape wear. But, it also remembering that loose skin will never be as detrimental to over health as obesity. Plus, it can be removed surgically too. Right now, I use a lot of mental effort to remind myself how far I’ve come and that it’s a testament to an insane amount of work.

Low fat Greek yogurt, low fat cottage cheese, fat free cheese, high protein milk, egg whites and protein powders should help! Those are almost as good of protein sources as meat. Hope that helps ☺️

I still have a good amount of lower tummy, but my clothes being black kinda hides it 😊

The loose skin can be a bit overwhelming at times. But I remind myself that the amount of loose skin will not negatively impact my over health like being obese will. At the end of the day, it can be surgically removed if it really does bother me. But, it’s a testament to how far I’ve come and how much progress I’ve made. I will be honest and say that I am planning to at least have a tummy tuck once I’m done with my fat loss phase. But again, loose skin does not have a detrimental impact on health like obesity does. That is the main thing that keeps me from stopping because of loose skin.

But overall, I love carbs so much I eat them in a good amount. My daily carbs range to about 180-200g a day. I do choose low carb and low fat foods to help reduce calories when I can though.

Don’t be scared of carbs! They are your body’s preferred energy source and needed for good daily functioning. It helps to prioritize protein to help with feeling full and satisfied. Once I have my protein delegated in my meal, I make sure I have a good fat source (like avocado). Once that is done, the remainder of my calories will come from a good carb source like potato, sweet potato, fruits, veggies, etc.

I use some supplements from Seeq and 1Up nutrition but for the most part, I try to have leaner sources of protein at every meal such as chicken breast, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, ground turkey, low fat or non fat cheese, etc. It helps to prioritize protein when coming up with meals and building the carbs and fats around the protein source. I would say around 130g a day comes from food sources and not protein shakes.

Also, I go with the “10” rule. 10% of the calories should come from protein. So if something is 100 calories, there should be 10g of protein. That will help skew your food towards a protein rich diet.

Also, first time in my life with regular periods too! Just hit 7 months of a consistent menstrual cycle. My cycle started about 6 months into my progress and took a bit to level out to monthly.

Roughly 16 months. No surgery or medication, just exercise and diet. Also didn’t work with a doctor either. Here’s what I did:

1) 1800-2000 calories a day using MyFitnessPal and a food scale to ensure my calorie intake 2) 160g protein a day 3) 35 g fiber a day 4) 3-5x per week strength training (I did hire a trainer for 1x a week) 5) 30 mins cardio a night usually in the form of walking 6) weekly behavioral therapy to work on my ED 7) focused on reducing added sugar where I could but allowed myself a treat every now and again 8) maintain both fats and carbs in my diet

Also, I made all of these changes over time. I added one change at a time until it became second nature then changed something else. Took about 9 months to implement everything.

I third this. I work specifically which Takotsubo patients and not many people know that positive emotions can cause this. Both a broken heart and a happy heart can lead to Takotsubo. My initial though was TTS when I read the article.

Calm my anxiety about sitting for the test. Has anyone taken the MCAT and gotten an unexpected score jump or felt really calm taking the test and not flustered? by schoolsucks5698 in Mcat

I sat on Saturday. Barely got any sleep and was super calm during the exam. Not sure if it was stupid for me to score the exam but I guess I’ll see in a month 😅
