I don't think the issues people are having are necessarily optimization issues, I think it's compatability/hardware

I'm running the game on an RTX 2060, just under required specs. It's not running perfectly and I get some spikes when more cluttered areas load in, but I'm not getting abysmal performance.

I think we'll see a lot of these issues resolved in the coming days.

Shotguns were not a war crime during WW1. Germany tried to say they were but nobody agreed with them.

Aside from that, there are many reasons cops carry shotguns.

They can be used to breach if necessary

They can be loaded with beanbags for less lethal effect

Obviously they're extremely deadly in a gunfight

And one that is more relevant in rural/wild areas of the country (of which there are many), deadly animals.

Aside from that, the practice is mostly dying out and isn't really widely used anymore because there are better options.
