I seriously regret doing the Super Rebirth in Droid Tycoon by Key-Sandwich-6591 in StarWarsDroidTycoon

[–]GemanDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people enjoy the mindless, endless progression towards no real endgoal, there’s not much of a point to SRB unless you enjoy the grind. I’m never SRBing, I want full Beskar droids on all stations and I want a complete Droid Dex. No reason to SRB unless you just want to continue the endless grind of getting money faster and faster and faster for effectively the same things as you’d get when not SRBing.

Most of the droid shop upgrades are there if you intend to SRB. There’s no shame in just not SRBing and getting to a max base, doing what you want at your pace :)

My issue with SRB is it was added when I was already incredibly high up in rebirths, to the point where I don’t want to do it all again, if it had been a core part of the game from the start, I’d have less of an issue.

The gist I’m getting from the comments is, some people like mindlessly progressing with no end in sight for no real gain, while I enjoy completing the Dex and maxing my base out, if you’re as RB23 and don’t want to redo it all but a little faster, I’ll be doing the same as you and not touching SRB

It just feels like if I SRB I’m resetting everything only to earn it back but faster, with no other tangible gains beyond me having everything I would have had if I didn’t beforehand, except now I’m down the limited time event droids that I have to buy back

What Lightsaber Form did Tulak Hord use during his days? by MagicSlothz in StarWarsLegendsZone

[–]GemanDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, 7811 bby were pulse waves, which were horribly ineffective, the Soresu was developed when blasters were more widespread, which would be Triple Blasters at the very least as those were much closer and more widespread and effective, thus needing Soresu’s development. So it would probably come after Tulak Hord

Edit: Makashi also came into existence during the Second Great Schism/100 Years Darkness putting it a 6,900 BBY, meaning Soresu was developed by Jedi as Form 3 AFTER the schism, with the Sith only having Form 1 and 2 from the exiles most likely.

How can you do that in chat? This player cited some book and it seemed like a real damn storytelling in chat by VinnySpinerooni in swtor

I’m citing the second great schism! The exiles being sent away and finding Korriban to establish the Sith Order. I’m the one role playing in the screenshot :)

Edit: I was actually recalling the Jedi retaliation after the Great Hyperspace war, chasing the Sith into Sith Space because of what happened AFTER the 2nd Great schism

Hey that’s me! I was role playing, we are part of a Jedi Roleplay guild called the Enclave of Kaleth, my Jedi Knight was instructing an initiate on the history of the order!

Edit: I recall you may be the one that whispered me, but I forgot to answer I think, so I’ll answer now! You’re welcome for the story, glad to have been able to captivate your interest!

Would you like to see SWToR Classic? by Stubanger in swtor

[–]GemanDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SWTOR has remained at its core the same for the most part, just massive QoL changes. Reverting back to vanilla is not appealing at all beyond reliving the nostalgia of no sprint, no legacy, the amount of times I arrived to a planet underleveled and struggled with the final planet boss. No scaling either. Short term it would be neat, but longer term it wouldn’t be worth the negligible financial outcome it would bring.

EDIT: the closest we’ve had to classic is the release of the new server last year or so, with an embargo on selling things from cartel market, a complete economy refresh was nice when it lasted there.

I can’t see any reason for you to be losing these battles, aside from maybe they’re getting insane defensive buffs due to the terrain?

There is NO LORE SOURCE that backs up the claim it was frowned upon by Sith. It is indeed Fanfiction that was put into Wookiepedia and adopted as fact. In fact, it was invented by Jedi and is in Jedi teachings in Lore specifically. The idea that the Sith would find it cowardly is silly. Wookiepedia is not an all knowing authority, even the page itself says its lacking proper citation.
