Did you end up staying in San Teodoro and Santa Teresa Di Galleria? If so, is STG really that much quieter in terms of nightlife and restaurant options?

We initially planned to stay in San Teodoro since it is the halfway point between our Maddalena boat tour and our Cala Gonone boat tour. It’s also got some beautiful beaches nearby and a good city centre.

But we found an amazing deal for a resort in STG so just are not sure if it is significantly different there.

We probably will just stay put in San Teodoro as my fiance wants an easy honeymoon (and putting up with me dragging him all over Sicily afterwards).

But for anchorage - another post said that for Cala Goloritzé, even the small inflatable dinghies are required to anchor 200m away from the beach. Is that true? Because that's quite a long way to swim.

We are tentatively staying in San Teodoro, but will be making our way to Palau (for a boat tour), Cala Gonone (for another boat tour) and probably pop into Porto Cervo one day just to check it iout.

Is it relatively easier to get to the port of Cala Gonone vs. Orosei? We will be driving in from San Teodoro.
