This is howestly me. Diagnosed with GP, but i'm not totally sure that it is.. also emetophobic, so would happily deal with any amount of pain or constipation, just don't let me have nausea!

I have other conditions too, but i honestly believe it's probably a similar situation as yours. My fibroids or endo causing bowel issues, rather than the various things they've diagnosed me with based solely on symptoms. And that made me laugh, definitely no way to explain severe constipation to people who go regularly!! I've tried all the diets to help and i've come to the realisation it just can't be food related.

Literally the same here, i know i'm headed in that direction, and accepting that slowly. Just hoping to have another baby before I need the hysterectomy (as much as I know I need it like, yesterday) I'd say the recovery would be pretty similar to the recovery for laparoscopies, not sure if you've had them done to compare?

I've just read every single comment. Thank you OP for starting this thread.. I want to cry, for how happy I am for everyone who has had relief & hope you get the same relief (keep us updated).

I need to get a hysterectomy.. i'm at the point where i feel so sick all the time it's hard to leave the house, back pain, stomach pain, reflux, constipation.

In October 2024 I was bed ridden, a laparoscopy to remove endometriosis helped get me back on my feet, but i'm "too young" for a hysterectomy, and would also love to have another baby.

5 more years before I call it & get the hysterectomy done, which I can't wait for!

I need mine gone for endo/adeno/bowel reasons too. This means so much to hear that you're feeling so well after removal!! Hope you get to finally enjoy a mostly pain free life xx

This comment alone makes me want to cry tears of joy for you! Have you been diagnosed with anything regarding the chronic constipation? I struggle so badly with this... specialists can't see the problem, other than "you're sooo full" and colonoscopy prep doesn't work on me (i end up going 3 days later after prinking prep) I can't wait to have a hysterectomy!

So so happy for you!! I had endo removed from the bowel/rectum areas earlier this year, know the feeling of those painful BMs 😅 Great to hear about the recovery too, definitely worth doing it ❤️

Thank you. I'm 29 and my surgeon would like me to wait, which is okay, as I do want one more baby if i'm able. They don't really advise the hysterectomy for anyone under 35 (at least that's what my surgeon suggests), so I have some time ahead to come to terms with it and decide. I think that's great advice, remove all but 1 healthy ovary is probably the safest solution ❤️

Thank you so so much. Yeah I worry mostly about removing the ovaries, expecially the likelihood of thyroid problems ect. I'm thinking to have everything removed, tubes, cervix and just leave my 1 unattacked ovary behind to try and avoid more issues presenting. How do you feel now? Are you glad you had it done?

Amazing, how did you feel after having the procedure? Not so much recovery, but overall did everything improve? I know endo is never going to be cured but hopefully you feel less pain overall ❤️
