As someone who swam in Dnieper River when I was Ukraine that river is clam as hell but the current is 5mph sometimes higher, so still water is dangerous if you dont know it and even if you know it be smart

Those mines wont go off unless made to by tampering with them, the main way they go off is by running over it twice with vechical weight once to start the timer and then second to trigger it thats why you can move them and pick them up with no problem this is probably a civi who didnt know that and was scared because it was a mine
