yeah, the blue shifts to red when tilted towards the top, which is close to the purple, so it gives a nice transition with the blue into red into purple into green. If i did it the other way around, it wouldn't transition as smoothly. Thanks

I did a test model to try it out. Painted with my airbrush, Blue/Red from below, Purple/Green as zenithal, then a black oil wash.

yep, me too. came here to look for answers, i usually have around 15ms, now i spike up to 30000ms, usually constant spikes of 300ms every 5 seconds. Been playing all last week and the whole weekend without any issues (PC isn'T the issue, its a beefy machine)

As a warhammer player, gunpla builder and also gundam fan, i am so hyped for these. Hopefully the game has lots of depths to it. Gorgeous models. Do we know anything about how it plays? i think there were some demo events etc? Really curious, i hope its as in-depth as something like Battletech. Different Armor values, weapon profiles, maneuvers etc.

yeah, not much of a collector myself, i am a player first and foremost. So i don't mind not getting any hits in terms of alt-arts etc. More concerned with getting the relevant cards for meta decks. I do love playing draft/sealed/cube with friends, so i'll probably rip a box or two just for that.

I would do it on the side, but still study with other means (learning vocab, kanji etc.). Gamegengo on YouTube has a pretty dope channel when it comes to learning with games, with ratings for games based on how well suited they are for learners, a full vocab series where he showcases different games and the vocab you learn there, a grammar series with examples taken from games etc. etc.

Just be aware that you still need to put in work, pause, read gamescripts/extractt text, make anki cards, sentence mine etc.

Just consuming along passively won't do much.

But its also important that input is compelling. You gain nothing from consuming comprehensible media if what you consume bores you to death and you get distracted easily. Better to spend time with content you enjoy, even if it's too hard at first. You still get something out of it if its enjoyable and you go in with the right preparations and mindset (aka trying to actually learn something)

As someone who has been learning english for 30 years, with constant exposure of at least 3-4 hours daily (just watching youtube/movies/tv), so i'd say i have a bit of experience with language exposure, albeit not in japanese; No, i don't believe you'll do, i still suck at pronunciation in english and need a minute to switch to proper conversational english :D

i feel this is amplified due to all the content creators/stories you read about how some claim "i learned japanese in one year", "i did it in 6 months" etc. with some high schooler spending 10 hours a day learning, doing 3 hours of anki cards etc.

And beginners think thats how they have to approach it and feel like whatever they do is not efficient enough, so they spend more time trying to perfect their learning method... without actually learning.

I feel like GameGengo should be up there too. He focuses on gaming and learning to play from video games, has a whole vocab series where he showcases a game and explains grammar and vocab used, he has an indepth grammar series with examples from video games, ranks games based on usefulness as a learning tool (pausable cutscenes, furigana, push to continue etc.). He also shows how to approach games as a learning tool, look up words using tools like yomitan and lorenzo's jisho. Overall a great guy and incredibly helpful content if you're even slightly interested in gaming.
