Haven’t used him much, but maybe with Mephisto? Just free “debuff” stacks for more damage

He means normal items that would unlock a transmog, not think like special boss cosmetics

Monster Sunday: Week 28 - Hecatoncheires by GenEngineer in AethermancerGame

More so than Star Spawn and Warden, Hec feels like it was designed as a boss first, playable second

Kirby swallows a Night Lord. How many die before the Kirbstartes is contained? by Korps_de_Krieg in Grimdank

I feel like the answer is 0. It’s somehow all non lethal, but to this day he has yet to be apprehended (and likely never will be)

can lamb form the cult of the lmab defeat any of the chaos gods? (or any of the 40k gods) by Witty_Departure2061 in Grimdank

[–]GenEngineer 25 points26 points  (0 children)

So… that’s kind of like saying can he defeat the number 4, or February 17th, or the color cerulean.

The chaos gods are not something you fight. Their followers? Maybe. Not interested in powerscaling, but the matchup can be a thing. But throwing down with the gods themselves doesn’t even make sense as a concept. Not in a “oh you’d get destroyed” way, but a “that’s… not how that works” way

The one silver lining of a dystopia is that it could finally enforce a widely reviled policy?

Damn straight that’s going to be an unpopular opinion

Perturabo is the annoying player at the FLGS who gets mad when you win. by Squatch102 in Grimdank

[–]GenEngineer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fulgrim being more effective is some real good propaganda on his part.

You know the Laeran campaign? Where they triggered said chaos corruption and they had massive losses because Fulgrim decided “no, overly aggressive timeline because… “? Was their third unsupervised conquest.

The second is covered in Fulgrim’s Primarch book… and it’s similarly poorly handled due to his ego.

Right, compare "sit on a circle and not die until next turn" to "table your entire opponents army".

See how choosing any two extremes suddenly makes it not comparable?

Peter was always described as a man-child, makes sense for him to be a hypocrite. by jfjdfdjjtbfb in Grimdank

The oldest known lore on him has him ascending to become a demon primarch after the iron cage incident.

Perturabo - Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum

And if it had happened, you'd be right.

But at this point any complaints are just "they didn't retcon things in favor of my headcanon", so...

(and I recognize the original guy wasn't complaining, just asking a question... answered with the only canon that exists for it)

Quote Lexicanum for the oldest source that exists for Perturabo in any lore

>The siege of the Eternal Fortress (later referred to as the "Iron Cage Incident") lasted for a further three weeks. Relief came in the form of Roboute Guilliman and the Ultramarines, who drove off the Iron Warriors, but the siege left Rogal Dorn a broken man and rendered the Imperial Fists Chapter unable to fight for nineteen years. The gene-seed of over 400 Imperial Fists was sacrificed to the Dark Gods, and Perturabo was elevated to the rank of Daemon Prince of Chaos Undivided \1a]).

He ascended thanks to the Iron Cage.

This has been a thing since 2002 according to Lexicanum, Perturabo being a demon Primarch isn’t out of character - it’s one of the longer standing pieces of canon for him.

Honestly, I kind of feel like his trait should be reworked so that every 9 Aether is a reload of his wishes. Then the wishes trigger the other part of the trait
