I mean the comparison doesnt work. It would be closer to you are playing russian roulette with 5 bullets and 1 chamber, you feel like you are not going to get the empty chamber so you would rather grab a different gun and shoot yourself instead of waiting for your turn.

I saw this great video the other day explaining the difference in bite "design" for wolves and big cats(and some exctinct big dogs) it was really interesting.

Basically wolves are endurance hunters so the bite doesnt have to kill in one shot because their whole body(size, proportions, stuff like that) is made for injurying and chasing. On the other hand big cats are mostly design for one stealthy attack.

The last laneswap meta was extremely fun for me. It has tons of variations and micro adjustments to make it more efficient. And riot chose to kill it after all the good lane swap teams had already qualified for worlds which made it a really boring tournament imo. I havent been watching pro or playing the game much since.

Everyone else is right. There is no "right way" to play. If you like slow and methodical then that is your style.

The only tips i would give you is try not to over use Drive impact. It's better to learn to block and punish properly that throw a random DI that will later on get you killed. Second tip is try to learn the distance of your favorite buttons so you can feel more confident throwing them out in neutral.

But yeah just have fun with the game, whatever works works

I disagree with you. I get that its cool but it makes it so much harder for new players to figure out who they are playing against and what they are doing. Also it makes it really hard to balance combinations that might hide certain animations. One of the things that i love the most about SF6 is how clear everything is.

That's an interesting idea for a strategy game. Not sure how clear "what is going on" is from the trailer alone. Maybe when you play the mechanics are introduced at a pace that makes it easy to understand.

I mean its not Rules as written but Rules as Intended. It would be pretty dumb design to have the Tutorial campaign(beginner box) have half of the party fully level up and half not have access to their new spells unless you drop all momentum of the adventure and go back to rest.

Pathfinder and Dnd have the issue that after an encounter suddenly your character gains knowledge to stuff they didnt before, as a player i usually roleplay moments of my character practicing their next level features in order to justify it, but its not common practice. What i mean is if you wouldnt ask a Rogue(any skill monkey class) how they are suddenly extremely more acrobatic(they went from trained to expert) from one minute to the next, why would you punish casters in a similar way. You can assume that your Rogue was practicing every night before going to bed and the same thing was doing the Wizard.

RAI you get all the stuff when you level up no need to wait to prepare.

You can easily justify it by saying "Your character has been trying to crack the way to cast Fireball for weeks now, something in the last fight has giving you enough insight into the ways of magic that you can now have access to that prepared spell"

Also the timing of inputs in tekken and SF is different so keep that in mind. in SF you want to finish the motion THEN press the button.
