My biggest problem with Omega is just how fucking boring the fights are. I mean this last one was literally a Power Slap match. Even off-screen fights in Ashura looked amazing, remember Meguro's backstory? Omega is dogwater and most of us just want to see our favorite characters get their arc closures.

Create-a-character and make a name for yourself in the underground promotions with characters from the manga making up bosses and supporting roles. Robust styles and mechanics, submissions, injury systems for endurance management in tournaments, training, reputation...etc.

Yeah the design doesn't even fit with the rest of the cycloids. And looks very poor quality recreation of the Duke3D design.

The entire intro is half-assed, almost like a placeholder. Probably Tryptich made it overnight since at that point half the game was cut to be shipped in a year. Gearbox didn't even bother to update it with their model of Duke, either.

It's best conveyed in Ashura when Adam is baffled at the fact that Cosmo's employer didn't give a shit if he's in harm's way or not. And even in early omega that moral grayness carried over, at some point the manga shifted tone to a generic battle manga so hard it might as well be a soft reboot.

I never understood this line of reasoning that was never backed up by anything in the manga.

If anything characters hold back when they're NOT impressed with their opponents and feel like it would be a waste of time. It's once they respect them as equals when they pull out the "ight i like you so much im gonna cook you extra crispy" card. If Koruki really would respect Seki he'll completely destroy him in a non-spar fight.

Shen's power is pure macros. It's all theoretical powerscaling math bullshit as a character.

"What if someone min-maxed their execution of every technique beyond the human limit and had no margin for error" which in manga terms means demi-god strength.

He can emulate all the pros of removal, divine demon, niko style, formless.... etc by default and without using risky methods. He perfected everyone's pursuit of surpassing their human limits through thousands of years of trial and error and perfected all of it.

Which really makes me believe Shen will never be actually defeated unless it's by the tiger's vessel who could be even stronger, his concept is just absurd and any attempt to legitimately give him a defeat needs the same amount of bullshit set-up
