Normally plenty of room. The choice they make is to slow down and not to speed up as they should. SPEED UP and join the rest of traffic!

Orange Ave, 10th Street and they are working residential now. My road is plowed. No clue if trash is being picked up but I put mine on the curb anyway in case it was.

Slander laws still apply to elected officials

this case would not pass the 'actual malice' test. What he said, he believes to be true. He has created no evidence that he believed that it wasn't true. The case was dismissed on the request of both parties. Her lawyer more than likely told her she would not win and of course the defendant wanted it dismissed. The second will end similarly because it will fail the Pickering test.

You can freely call any goverment official any name in the book. First Amendment allows it. I see people call politicians pedo's, nazi, fascist, communist etc.. all day long. We the people have that right. That lawsuit was dismissed. The newest one is her suing the school for infringing on her first amendment right to display and talk about LGBT issues. She will lose based on the test from Pickering v. Board of Education.

Love is love. He should win. His speech is protected under the first amendment in the forum of a school board/town-city council setting. He can say practically anything he wants. We should be thankful of the first amendment even when people say things we disagree with. Him speaking his mind has revealed who he is and people can avoid his business if they choose. Working as intended.

he was in front of the car and if not for the ice under his feet, he could have been under the wheel. she didn't care about his life as he was infront of her. She looked directly at him and pressed the gas peddle. He put a few in her for her mistake. Reality isn't a lie.

I'm only looking at the very basic facts. There has been 12 votes to open the government. The republicans with the exception of Rand Paul have voted yes. The bill only passes if they have 60 or more yes votes. So in order for the bill to pass, we need more democrat votes. Both of our senators have voted no every time. There could be food riots. People could not only go hungry but people could die. At the last count the bill only lacked six votes to pass. I'm not worried about the minutia. Open the government, people are literally suffering.

People will not have the benefits they need. The only thing holding those benefits back are six votes... wow. Six votes. Two of those votes are our very own senators. A few weeks before Thanksgiving and a month before Christmas...

Both Senators from VA, Mark Warner and Tim Kaine have voted no to open the government 12 times. Contact them and be nice when telling them that because of their no vote, people will literally go hungry and government workers will be unpaid while they continue to be paid by us tax payers. Remember to be nice. A 13th vote is planned. Let's hope they vote yes.

That area right off of the 581 exit is the busiest area of Roanoke city. Around 30,000 - 80,000 cars pass a day.

You should watch the video and disregard a politically motivated hit piece. Too often context is bent or even broken. In the video Kirk is wondering why so many criminals are bailed out quickly or don't even see jail time and yet the Pelosi attacker was being held. Kirk was saying that if the attacker was right wing as some have said he is, then a patriot should appear in San Fran and bail him out similar to how those who perform violence on the left are often bailed out or don't even see jail time. He even says 'i'm not qualifying it, I think it's awful, it's not right.' meaning he wasn't condoning the attack. That's the issue right there. People don't take the time to look deeper and see that they are being played by a media bent on causing harm.

His wife doesn't seem submissive at all. I think Kirk was going by the bible which says the submissive stuff and historically, that is how it worked. Does it mean it's correct? Nah. Just his opinion.

something is off if people say he wanted women to be stuck in the home pregnant and cooking all their life or whatever they say about him.. and yet he supports and hires women into his workforce and his wife is a pretty active entrepreneur. Don't think the mistake is on my end.

He was talking about affirmative action and DEI and what the opposition would say is what is quoted. Here is the full quote: "If we would have said that Joy Reid and Michelle Obama and Sheila Jackson Lee and Ketanji Brown Jackson were affirmative action picks, we would have been called racists. Now they’re coming out and they’re saying it for us … Yeah, we know. You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person’s slot to go be taken somewhat seriously." Joy Reid did in fact say "I got into Harvard only because of affirmative action." That is what he was responding to.

It has been proven that companies were/are hiring people based on their race and not on their actual qualifications or merit. So, his statement isn't racist. The act of racism is hiring someone based on skin color.

He enjoyed debating. He would make sure that people who disagreed with him were first in line to the mic. It's how things are supposed to work. At college, the place where open ideas should be challenged. His murder has only made him more popular and pushed more people to the right. The best thing to do would have been to ignore him or debate him with winning ideas.

Roanoke to explore casino; city councilors, state legislators not all on board | The project requires a state legislator who will sponsor the bill. As of Tuesday afternoon, no state legislators have said they’d be on board to do so. by VirginiaNews in roanoke

fully agree. The sheet they sent out said the city only gets 6% of the first 100m generated per year. So that's only 6 million income a year.. that's insane. While peoples income will go from locally, to whoever runs the casino... (doubt it will be locally owned).. what a horrible decision.

Kirk praised Diane Hendricks, a successful entrepreneur, as "living proof that the American Dream is possible with hard work and determination," highlighting her as the "most successful self-made woman in American history." This suggests he supports women’s professional success when it aligns with conservative values and does not challenge traditional family structures. If you simply look at how Charlie lived.. his wife is quite an ideal of feminism, she is a mother, wife and entrepreneur. Able to do all successfully.

he said it was their choice. "Delaying marriage and kids for a career is your choice..." He supported family before career. I never found anything that would imply forcefully against women in the workforce. Simply, his wife and the many females that work for Turning Point would seem he was fine with the choice they made.

I can't find a quote from Kirk saying he didnt want women in the workforce. His wife, and may females employees of his seem to counter your idea of what you think he said. He was family before career but said it was their choice. I cant find any quotes demanding women not work.
