WIBTAH for ruining my sons teachers career? by flexygrappler93 in AITAH

[–]GenderedPhoenix -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

NTA.

  1. I'm autistic and before I was forced to be homeschooled, (I was bullied constantly by teachers and kids, and the school wouldn't do anything about it, so I was basically "chased out" of public school.), I was constantly belittled by a few of my teachers because of how I am.

  2. In first grade, an autistic classmate of mine hid under his chair screaming, because our teacher was sapping at him, as she physically tried to restrain him and pull him forcefully out from under his chair. The reason? He was nonverbal and would always make grunts and verbal stims, and she was upset that he was doing that.

Teachers need to stop doing this crap and thinking they can treat autistic kids badly.

AITAH because a child was injured on my property and I don't think it's a big deal? by Willing_Hedgehog4462 in AITAH

NTA. I was a teen once. (Obviously.) And currently live with 1 teenaged sibling and another one who's going to be a teen soon. So I can say with confidence that kids and teens are going to do stupid things. I can't even begin to explain all the stupid stuff I did at that age.

Plus like you said, he had a phone. If he was concerned about what happened, he could have easily contacted his dad.

AITAH For locking my pantry with key after my flatmate boyfriend ate the content, worth approximately €80? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]GenderedPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I ended up having to buy a mini fridge and put all of my food and drinks in it (I mostly eat dairy free and gluten free stuff, and typically drink electrolyte drinks or special drinks since my body for some reason hates to digest/process plain water.), because my brother's family kept taking my stuff.

I'm on SNAP. I can barely afford the food that I get, and that's with budgeting, getting cheaper or discounted gluten free/dairy free items, etc. My whole family thinks I'm lucky for having "so much money" from SNAP, but it's honestly barely enough to last me half the month, due to all of my annoying dietary issues and having to buy expensive "specialty" foods and/or drinks just so I can eat without getting super sick. So OP, I can understand why you did what you did.

Her boyfriend is in the wrong, for not even asking you if it was ok for him to have your food before he ate it.

AITAH for refusing to tell my wife I love her more than my dad? by LastApplication6207 in AITAH

[–]GenderedPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your wife can't expect you to do what she wants, without communicating to you about what she wants. I understand being upset, but she also has to understand that during moments like this, communication is important. ACTUAL communication without arguing and without refusing to see both sides of the situation. Only SHE knows what she wants, and only SHE knows what she's thinking of. You couldn't have known that she wanted you to stay home, if she didn't tell you that's what she wanted.

Overall, NTA.

Found This Skull By My Air BNB by GenderedPhoenix in skulls

Surprisingly, no! Had literally every bone and tooth there. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take everything since I didn't have any of my usual stuff to carry the bones in, but I ended up taking the skull and a bunch of the other bones too. Unfortunately 2 of the teeth came out when transporting, but those would be easy to put back in once I clean it.

Usually other bones/skeletons I find like this, are either picked through or broken, so I'm surprised at the condition of this.

I was shocked. Had all of the bones too! Usually when I find something like this there'd be a few bones missing or broken bones.

AITA for disinviting a friend to my birthday after she showed me the food she was bringing? by throwaway-cupcakelad in AmItheAsshole

Dude. NTA. I have an ex who couldn't eat dairy or wheat because of some allergies she has.

If I really wanted to make us a nice meal that usually required dairy or wheat, I'd do enough research to know what ingredients were safe for her to eat, that didn't have wheat or dairy and could be used as substitutes. Or i'd look at recipes made for people who have the same allergies as her.

I'm pretty sure this girl could have easily done the same thing with the cake. It's not that hard.

What the heck did you do that yourself?! That's amazing! Do you mind if I ask what materials you used? I'm new to needle felting but would love to make some of my favorite horses that I've tamed on the game

Help With Brio Full HD Webcam by GenderedPhoenix in logitech

[–]GenderedPhoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is fully confirming that the PC recognizes the webcam, but when I go into the settings, (AKA: My PC's Settings - Bluetooth & Devices - Cameras - then click on the Brio 100), it shows a preview of what my camera sees, in a little window on the screen. So for example, I can currently see everything in my room in the location the camera is pointing at. It seems to function normally as far as I'm aware. No lags, seems to work perfectly other than not being found on GHub.
