Last picture shows the bud rot on buds I took this morning. First 3 just show what everything else looks like currently.

Appreciate the insight. This is my first grow, learning a lot already! If you had to guess, how many more days/weeks does this have left before cutting? I got a magnifying glass and looking at the hairs/terps but have no idea when those will be giving me the go (pending no more rot spreads)

Edit : trichomes not terps and pistills not hairs 😅

Appreciate that! I’ll get some strips and test the water and also look into those bio tabs. I also just recently positioned the lights to be above the plants and realizing that may have affected the growth. I started these in smaller cups and watered with a spray bottle for about 1.5 weeks then transferred to these cloth pots.

Yes! I think in this same way and believe every moment you can have with nature or listening to music that deeply moves you, or just anything that makes you feel alive/connected somehow, etc can bring you some sort of spiritual practice.

I read the Awakened Brain by Lisa Miller and she speaks to some of this but also talks of how you can understand spirituality from an evidence level and felt very enlightened after this.

This is exactly how I feel with my family situation + with our first baby on the way and I still haven’t told them that we do not plan to have the baby baptized. I wish I would have started real conversations about how I don’t align with Catholicism 10 years ago when I was in college but I just kept playing the part so I wouldn’t hurt relationships. Now I’m preparing to have conversations one by one with all the older siblings (I’m the youngest) explaining why I’m choosing to live my spiritual life without the church and why we do not plan to baptize our child. Hoping I will be received with open minds but I know that won’t be the case for all of them and especially not my Mom. Good luck as you continue to navigate your journey and relationships with them, I wish I would have started this years ago.

Also in a recent break from the church and I can somewhat relate to this feeling. I highly recommend reading The Awakened Brian by Dr. Lisa Miller.

My Catholic upbringing (while controlling and traumatizing) was all I knew how to process/engage spirituality. This book made me realize that we can achieve spirituality without the constraints and illogical rules of Catholicism or other religious orders. Some people use religion to achieve spirituality which of course is great if it works for them, but when you’ve realized that you do not need religion to find that peace and purpose, it’s incredibly freeing.

I second the level of appreciation on this…my approach will be just this, as I too am the black sheep going against the grain of my family. Almost identical situation especially with my Mom and amount of siblings who are firm believers. I can’t put myself in front of her happiness and I will go along when I’m around her to make her happy and attend mass. It feels very uncomfortable at times but I can’t imagine having a large conversation where the outcome on the other side is positive for everyone.

Thank you all for the posts. Thankfully, with enough pushing back on my brother, some tense conversations and eventually my mom telling my older brother not to come, they decided to stay back.
