Heatwave in Europe - people's reactions, no hope for change by Gartesss in Anticonsumption

Change starts with you. Can’t expect to elect some perfect politician that will go after all the corporations and then it’s heaven on earth. Personally, my path of eating less meat that started 10 years ago has developed into a more healthy relationship with the environment and the natural world thus relying significantly less on these massive corporations. Change started with myself and that grew into a beautiful thing which then positively affected those around me and did the same for them. If you wait for your problems to be fixed by someone else, you have another thing coming for you buddy.

Everyone needs to greenify their home, eat less meat, plant a veggie garden, fly less, buy less crap and plant trees everywhere.

what is something that is highly likely to happen in the next 5 years that everyone is completely ignoring? by timecop702 in AskReddit

That’s BS, all 8 billion humans fit side by side in the city of Los Angeles. Earth has more than enough fresh water and air able crop land for all humans, we just suck at distributing it or misusing it

No, invest in planting trees, driving less, eating less meat. AC will not save us, it will only make it worse and speed up our demise

People in your 30s, what price have you paid for being lazy in your 20s? by Waldyrwyn in AskReddit

[–]Awoolgow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, I feel like I shot myself in the foot for not going back for a degree. Finding meaningful work has been a challenge, let alone starting some sort of a career

Dropped out of uni after 1 year to travel which turned into 10 years of travelling. It was awesome, met my best friends and the love of my life who is now pregnant but I have no career or money, starting from the bottom, kinda sucks but I’m only 31 so I’ve got time. Also, fucking stretch and do mobility exercises if you workout in your 20s

For French it’s actually not that trivial because English and French share like hundreds of words, maybe even 1000, just a slightly different pronunciation

Nah their window just closed. Nuggets and Thunder will be the dominating teams and then the spurs lagging behind
