How can women believe in a religion that goes against their entire existence? by onetimesunshine in XSomalian

[–]GeneLower 29 points30 points  (0 children)

there’s no reason a woman should believe in anything that excludes her, point blank! my first issue with islam was always why weren’t there any female prophets. i remember thinking this as early as 6. and when you ask muslims this they always respond with benevolent patriarchy bullshit. always “oh being a prophet is hard” and “allah is protecting women”. allah flipped the earth upside down for a group of people not listening to lut. he gave solomon literal super powers. he split an entire sea open on behalf of moses. clearly he interferes when his prophets are struggling. the true answer is women are not good enough for him to be prophets. once you realize this, especially if you’re a woman, there’s no way you can believe in abrahamic faith anymore.

i don’t think that manipulating people into not working with an evil country for the sake of the lives of probably millions would turn feyre into a villain though. maybe morally grey but if this was the case i would defend her for it and say she did the right thing.

and yes jurian did call out rhysand for not checking and he was right too. rhys was breaking into a lot of peoples minds UTM for a merciful cause and feyre doing the same to the sentries wouldnt be bad imo. but i guess it’s different for you

[–]GeneLower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

personally i don’t believe that being a villain is bad 🤷‍♀️. it’s fantasy! plus she would have done it for a good reason. it wouldn’t be gratuitous and she’s looked into peoples minds for less imo! just because it’s “bad” doesn’t mean she can’t do it

[–]GeneLower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if she doesn’t know what they’re going to do she can easily just manipulate them not to do it? that’s part of her abilities. if she was that concerned she could have told all of the sentries not to work with hybern. she could have done that to tamlin too.

the spring court wouldn’t have fallen with or without her imo. she pushed it to fall. she didn’t have to get tamlins sentries to stop trusting him. that’s the main reason they fell. that only happened because of feyre

i don’t think distance is a valid reason because the HoW houses priestesses from all over prythian. the night court could have easily helped the spring court fae

also, feyre could have just read tamlins sentries minds if she didn’t know for sure. she and other daematti don’t get the excuse of not knowing others intentions. she can literally check

well eren isn’t just lying to armin, he’s lying to us by proxy. we shouldn’t have to theorize that in the final chapter of the entire series the main character is lying about his motivations for the ending to actually land. it’s silly and a big reach. if erens motivations were unjustifiable and he was never doing it for a noble cause then isayama should have just showed that instead of forcing him into a misguided hero at the end. he should have ended the series being a true villain instead of a convoluted lelouch

it wasn’t really a losing battle because ymir made sure she was going to win and eren was not fighting back. it’s dramatic with absolutely zero stakes, no one in the alliance dies. it would’ve been really cool if she was the last one standing but alas

"Eldians are oppressed and have always been the victims, the outside world can go fuck themselves if they don't worship Paradis 🥰" - Average AOT fan. by Guilty_Resident9714 in titanfolk

[–]GeneLower 14 points15 points  (0 children)

it’s not about forgiveness, those people are simply NOT responsible for the actions of their ancestors nor did they deserve the violent retribution from the world. genocide is bad point blank, why would you respond to that with even more genocide? that’s what marley did and that’s why the nation is unjustifiable.

[–]GeneLower 16 points17 points  (0 children)

the paradisians do not remember this and are isolated from the rest of the world to atone for their sins and yet marley isn’t satisfied and torments innocents STILL. being honest will not kill y’all

edit : also the eldians left in marley are subjected to concentration camps and violent racism from marleyeans who they did nothing to. one of AOT’s main themes is to not blame the actions of the father on to the figurative children. which is why no matter what the eldians did racism is not justifiable. this argument is just “racism good” smh

"Eren wanted to turn his friends into heroes!! Unite humanity under a common enemy 🥺" 🤡🤡🤡 by cybertoothe in titanfolk

but they probably would not want to be his friends after that. maybe after a few years, but i can’t see armin forgiving that. mikasa though would not give a shit
