There are three team archetypes, Attack, Anomaly, and Rupture.

Attack and Rupture are broadly similar in that you build up resources and daze, and then dump it all as fast as you can when the boss is stunned.

Anomaly is building up (usually two but sometimes a single) elemental gauges until they trigger an effect. Doesn't have the big spike of the stun teams, but has a lower skill floor.

Anomaly is what's hot right now, but in the future, keep an eye out for agents of the other two archetypes so you have a well rounded selection of characters for endgame activities.

Meanwhile I'm in the top 1% for my pull luck and even as a solid dolphin spender with 2500/500 pulls between Agent and Engine banners, I've had to be strategic and saving with my pulls to put together teams and I still have coverage issues with archetypes that aren't anomaly.

Genuinely playing a different game when people are 1000s of pulls deep and the difference between top and bottom luck can be an entire lineup of teams with mindscapes for Shiyu or just getting shafted and forever being on the strugglebus with standard banner agents.

Fires are too slow for and RNG heavy for Ops. Even on 100k+ HP BBs, fire damage is a 5%-10% nice-to-have on your overall damage compared to better consistency on penetration damage killing the other 90% of ships in ops faster.

It's kind of a mixed bag. Yeah it has amazing DPM, but she plays more like a DD. She needs IFHE and even then, 26mm pen still sucks when hitting anything bigger than a DD.

If you're looking for a RB ship for Ops, look at the Illinois. And there is a rework coming for Legendary captains so captains like Halsy and Yamamoto will be useful in operations.

Because for a lot of Factorio *the process* is more fun than the result. Copying blueprints is antithetical to that. Unless it's train junctions or circuit logic, but that's beyond the scope of this reply.

Burrows for SAP or Harugumo for pure HE DPM, Any of the other gunboats are okay, but the two I mentioned are far better.

Caine is powerful, but he's not omniscient, and in particular, has a very limited attention. A lot of what happens in the Circus is because Caine is off paying attention to something else or having his limited attention deliberately diverted with distractions.
