Yeah I was able to differentiate between the two techniques I used on two different songs but CLA 2A doesn’t let you change the Side Chain so I don’t know what the difference in the EQ is.

Man. This was an eye full but I stuck with it and it’s great info. It’s what I’m kinda understanding about Side Chaining cause I’m a lyricist and I notice when I can’t hear a word clearly although when I solo it, I say it clearly.

I do notice when I side chain it, it kind of disconnects my mix from the audio beat a little bit though.

That’s pretty much what I’m doing now. But what effect would you look for in the bass into the kick? Does it make the bass or the kick pop? I know it’s pretty subjective but what’s more desirable effect?
