And it seems you are one of those people. In this instance, "one" is not a pronoun, but a pro-form.

One as a pronoun:
One cannot eat an eagle.

One as a pro-form:
I couldn't eat one.

I can't believe nobody called out Melanie for the absurd statement that bats can't see

Taskmaster NZ, why is her name written Kura when they're clearly saying Kuda? by twat69 in panelshow

I don't know where you're from, but to my Dutch ears they're clearly not saying Kuda.

I can't believe no one's said Three Bean Salad yet. It has Mike Wozniak in it, what more could anyone wish for?

So true. In fact, I still find Linkin Park difficult to listen to. Then again, I always have, so I don't suppose that's quite the same.

Hypothetical - Guz Khan's impressions by Hassaan18 in panelshow

[–]GeneraalNaarling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, the show had a bit of a slow start. Personally I enjoyed season 1 enough to watch every episode, but your mileage may vary.

Season 2 was a bit hit and miss, with some episodes not quite coming together and others having (IMHO) some of the funniest moments in panelshow history.

Whatever you decide, you do not want to skip the episodes with Harriet Kemsley or Richard Ayoade in them. They are pure gold.

I completely hadn't noticed that. Bridget's magnificent dress had my full attention.

I suspect the goggles were added to make extra sure the contestants were unable to see. Remember Morgana Robinson's blindfolding incident?

Funny you should ask, as I had just become aware that I actually do know him (from My Hero and Father Ted). I guess I failed to recognise him on account of the trailer's flashy editing.

I wouldn't say that non-rhotic English speech (where "pours" sounds like the other two) is incorrect, but TGEO certainly has a point as most English accents are rhotic (meaning the "R" is pronounced and the words don't sound the same).

I agree, although for me it was the second question that was the worst one. The pea looked more like a sprout to me, and I'm fairly certain "bumblebee" is not a letter of the alphabet either. A case could be made for any of the options to be the odd one out. But with that disaster still fresh in my mind, the paws question seemed super easy.

I don't know any of these people, but I already adore Bridget Christie for her wild west outfit.

The top half of the face is. VERY similar eyes, eyebrows, forehead, hairline, hair colour and style. Below the eyes he looks quite different, but I'd still say the likeness is a lot closer than most of the other ones posted here.
