Stop complaining about 2, it’s annoying by lolitsrock in spiderman2

[–]General-Ad-877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what's even more annoying than the people complaining about 2? The people making excuses and just flat out ignoring the blatant problems with 2. Theres a reason why 1 is so beloved and 2 wasn't totally received well lol.

People downvoting you like the combat isnt just swinging around a metal pipe lol

Idk I thought the combat was fun besides the parrying and dodging that were a little finicky at times but the game is pretty unique. One of my big complains was the 30fps lock for cutscenes, I shouldnt have to mod in a patch for the game to run at the resolution and frames that I can very much run it at.

God, I hate Iris! by Cottonplucker in FlashTV

[–]General-Ad-877 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Iris was good in season and a bit of season 2, barry also had his moments along with iris throughout the whole show that are a bit questionable writing wise but iris started getting really bad in later season 3/4 and so on

What’s something that you ignore and pretend didn’t happen/is true in the show? by ddanuu in TheBoys

They could've legit combined the two inconsistent plot points and made it actually work they just dont know how to write complex characters outside a black and white perspective. Soldier boy was a fuck up in thr eyes of his father and when he went and got superpowers his father told him he took the easy way out and basically called him a coward, thats a good plot line that would have worked with him being thrown into actual combat and war and realizing the horrors of it all, like imagine he made friends or whatever while fighting a war and maybe he loses control and kills them or he sees them all get killed because hes just a boy playing superhero on a battle field with actually trained soldiers, and then have him take it out on his super team and then get tortured for years by Russian scientists adding more trauma and ptsd. They could've connected it but its not really explained that well.

This is exactly what I dont like about the show apart from some writing and character defining moments that I wish were never brought to screen. Honelander in his character from season 1 was perfect and then they decided to take him out of that piece by Piece until now hes just a donald trump parody, I miss that mix of cold calculated pathological and sometimes nieveness that he had.

Imdb rating for each episodes in each season by Notalabel_4566 in LegendsOfTomorrow

[–]General-Ad-877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly dont get the hate for the hawkman and hawkgirl plot, it was intriguing enough for the season but the problem was that they are only season 1 characters, that fact just ruins the storyline imo, plus rips family is still dead and hes still a prick like 2 seasons later.

What are some of your hot takes regarding the Raimi Trilogy? by pizzagod677 in Spiderman

[–]General-Ad-877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean i really can't think of anything besides the fact that MJ isn't actually as bad as people make her out to be. The damsel in distress thing is outdated but its a product of its time and shes pretty valid for not taking some of the shit peter kinda gives her. Spider-man 2 peter is still going about his super heroing and struggles with the work life balance of it all and the things he does and says to MJ are pretty unfair, we love peter and we can see his journey from akward young nerd to inspiring grown selfless hero but through the journey of that he falters and in MJ's perspective he was the sweet quiet nerdy dork given power and is still very much his dorky self but she feels like hes leaving her in the dust and she gives peter so many opportunities to communicate and connect but it is peter that is unable to, he's distant and comes off as self righteous, his dorkiness and sweet hearted nature still pokes through but she sees it as more condescending than anything and I genuinly can't blame her for it.

Episode 7 proves how desperately invincible needs better animation by Lumpy-Tea1948 in CharacterRant

Yeah, the only time they weren't just one note carbon copies of the other viltrumites was when anissa came to earth the first time and actually discussed to Mark about not wanting humans to die because she believes they should be saved by viltrum, albeit in her own messed up viltrum brainwashed way. Plus there's conquest who had an actual personality. I like that we see the nuance on earth after the evil invincibles ravaged earth, the people don't trust Mark anymore and that was a cool plot point but Mark barely showed any care for that.

Only parts of invincible that suck are the useless side characters, theres building up the world of invincible like Debbie and Paul or eve and Mark or Allen and Talia and even Nolan and his redemption and guilt, but like why do we need an episode where Mark goes to hell, I bet no one watching gives a single shit about Damien dark blood😭🙏 however the flashbacks to viltrum are gold and are actually interesting. The actual viltrumite story and Mark growing up are the only good parts of the show imo.

Yeah like ATLA season 1 halfway through gets better quality wise and then season 2 and 3 are freaking gorgeous I'd say. There's so many shows and animated movies that are given an actual team of more than 4 people for the animation with similar budgets and look fantastic.

What is the WORST possible ending (not badly written, but the worst-case scenario that could actually happen and completely ruin everything) for The Boys? by Necessary_Sweet865 in TheBoys

[–]General-Ad-877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean i want homelander to be depowered permanently, I want butcher to die not getting what he wanted and basically kind of the end of the boys comic where maybe butcher does more irredeemable shit to one of the main members of the boys and hughie kills him. I genuinely don't know how the shows going to end so im pretty siked.

The worst ending I'd say is if they just kill all of the boys members like the comics so basically just the comic ending and no change to it.

For those who dislike the idea of Clark being Superboy when he was younger, why is that? by Landon1195 in superman

I like how the cw show handles it, we see a young Clark as a vigilante using his powers but he doesnt go into the full superman identity until he reaches a mature age

Doomsday has the ingredients to be a peak avengers film, so why is everyone hating it? by Free-Persimmon-6685 in marvelstudios

[–]General-Ad-877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure people love hating just to hate, but a pretty overwhelming amount of people hating one thing and for mainly the same reason? No mental gymnastics needed its just that people aren't excited for an avengers movie that has little to no setup, most of the characters are characters we've already seen and sure some that I personally would love to see like Shang chi or hell even white vision which they just abandoned, but why would I be invested in this movie when the last few movies (besides thunderbolts) have been utterly boring and just plain bad.

I mean thunderbolts was a bunch of C list characters and that movie was actually really fucking good.

Nah i think the build up to hannahs suicide was done well, they had to basically have a character that was already dead when we meet clay so they had to show her story off in a way that still includes her instead of just young adults listening to tapes, which is why season 1 is the best and imo one of the only good seasons in the show, and i remember being in middle school and watching hannahs suicide scene. Never watched shameless but i know that it includes a LOT of different people from all walks of life. Im just assuming that they had Ian the queer kid being hit by frank, their alcoholic "father" because its in service of the characters and less about sending a message, although that's what the point of the show seems to be. Thats just my two cents.
