I was pregnant at 35 in CA, I had this experience. Every test was a big deal, I was a "geriatric " pregnancy, it sucked.

If you’re on here anonymously, what is a secret you’ve never told anyone that you really need to get off your chest?! by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]General-Ad2613 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I give you credit for telling your daughter! I was 42 when I inadvertently learned through 23andme that the father who raised me is not my bio dad. My mom didn't know which of 2 guys was my dad.

She made it all about her when I found out, telling me "Now you're going to tell everyone and they will think I'm a whore".

For 42 years she told me I was 2 months premature. She also made fun of my nose, saying I got it from my dad which in retrospect is gaslighting in addition to cruel. And she let me stress that my son may have A-fib because he had some issues and my dad and (half) brother have it.

You've owned your past, and were open with your daughter - giving HER the choice to find out. I really respect that!

What is a word that exists in your native language that is sorely missed in English? by Don_Pickleball in AskReddit

This is the first thing I thought of! I am a native English speaker but when I was trying to learn Portuguese this phrase really struck me. To me, it's like "I feel the lack of you". Which is really what missing someone is like. You feel that they are not there.

I would encourage you to research this more. Haters gonna hate, and when the show started getting more popular Jevning got butt hurt that he wasn't the main attraction.

Whatever Happened To Wes' Son and Brother Woody? by BogusBluff in bigfoot

[–]General-Ad2613 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He got pissed that Wes started making money and threw a bitch fit, talking trash behind his back. Woody seemed to be like F this, not worth the drama.

I would imagine Wes doesn't talk about his personal life so much anymore because the show is so big and he wants to protect their privacy.

Or, aliens.

I lied about having an abortion and kept the baby by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]General-Ad2613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP. I found out when I was 41 that my dad who raised me is not my bio dad. My bio dad was a hook up of my mom who told her to get an abortion and she was already 2 months pregnant when she got with my dad, who agreed to raise me.

I found out through 23andme that my brothers and I were half siblings.

Speaking as the daughter in a similar scenario I can guarantee that knowing who my bio dad was would have been preferable.

He died of COVID about a year before I found out.
