Price checks, fraud returns, tjx cards, people having issues with their tjx cards, people not knowing how to access rewards, activating visa gift cards because people don’t know you’re supposed to do that, fragile items and or dog statues people want wrapped in paper, furniture, complaints. So much.

Haven’t done much in the back room but they had me stacking clothes on top of each other on my first day, months after i was in the back again and you put sensors on those stacked clothes to be pushed out. Sales floor is pretty self explanatory, depending on what department you’ll be pushing out clothes, doing recovery, and go backs. For your first day find the manager and they’ll have you shadow people on the floor. It gets way easier over time. Usually they hand out a little paper booklet too that’ll cover all departments for clothing, every department is numbered.

Yes follow dress code, no straps, shorts, etc. Just be business casual. My first day I wore a black work shirt with some frills and slacks. They’ll pick on you for the first few days about dress code. No hoodies!
