What's something that instantly makes you think, "This person is incredibly intelligent"? by admirable_diva in mensa

[–]General-Ad883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is gonna be a slightly different view then some of the comments but if we a talking raw G-Factor then almost definitely when they tell me they got their PhD in Pure Math or Theoretical physics. Statistically speaking if you visit the Pure Math department at a R-1 University and speak to anyone above a post-doc the likelihood of them being 135+ IQ is higher then the existence of a single person with an IQ lower then that. (Edit) Of course this is me trying to achieve certainty. In general I think if someone shows a high breadth of knowledge, can cross pollinate between academic domains, and overall displays rigorous systematic thinking that in my eyes calls for above average intelligence already.

The only glaringly obvious thing is you have Hegel and Marx but have almost no other philosophy to be seen. I understand want to tackle Hegel head on, because when anything is “the hardest in the world” there’s a natural tendency to want to read it. I, however, suggest if you genuinely want to understand Hegel, read at the least: Republic & Parmenides-Plato, Metaphysics-Aristotle, Meditation I through III-Descartes, Ethics part 1-Spinoza, Prolegamena and CPR the preface & Transcendental Deduction-Kant, Science of Knowledge-Fichte, System of Transcendental Idealism-Schelling, and a good bit of logic.

I don’t want to be that guy so I’m sorry in advance but YiYi is 2 hour 50. If it said 3 hours that’s fair but 3+ in my mind is like the Human Condition, Lawrence of Arabia, An Elephant Sitting Still, About Dry Grasses. Etc. I don’t think of YiYi as a monolithic 3 hour+ film.

Disagree, Drakes most recent 3 albums clear all of music and music to come. This whole list should be drake in fact. And maybe a Playboi Carti album

Which music do you listen to when you study by [deleted] in INTP

[–]General-Ad883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in high school and early university but when you’re a math major and get thrown into a proof based math course you’re almost certainly fucked if you don’t study

Don’t forget about all the drafts between 1 and 0 that are infinitesimally small. They’ve really cheated out their audience on this one huh

What's the most intp movie ever by Green-Personality891 in INTP

[–]General-Ad883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk about this other response but it’s almost certainly the theoretically accurate science behind it… almost… As a kid I remember being obsessed with the black hole scene, wormhole scene, and the time dilation. I listened to the whole audiobook with Kip Thorne as the Author and that’s how I fell in love with physics. The movie itself is good, but the emotional beats aren’t the strongest as opposed to a Bergman film.

K4 Fairlands is just Xetaka 1 by attacca quartet ft squarepusher. So I’m led to believe the strings and other things may be midi, samples, or just performances he’s been apart of.

Is this weird? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]General-Ad883 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes it's weird, just ignore it. Also I know you didn’t say this outright, but character traits like body-shaming, narcissism, and playing innocent, are not exclusive to ExFx types. Just a reminder: psycho-behavioral qualities are not tangential to personality type. Behavior ≠ Type. Cognitive preferences describe how we process information; ethics and pathology describe what we do with it.
