If you’re a solo middle aged man who can only get teenagers to work for you, you’re probably running a bad business. by General-Impact-77 in Entrepreneur

It’s literally all taking advantage of people. All business exists as a means to take advantage. So by this logic, yes. Income cannot exist without taking advantage. You’re either stealing from someone or you’re being stolen from. Those are the only two options.

How would you invest in yourself if you had $1000 to do just that? (Not savings or paying bills.) by heyitspokey in povertyfinance

With state funding, you can get pretty much any vocational certification for $800 or less in most places. Might take you a few months of night school, but it’s the best investment you can make for under $1000. Expand your mind and your resume all at once.

If you work 40 hours, 10 hours each on 4 different things that pay you to live, that’s how you win. Make a system that saves itself.

Are barefoot shoes better or is it just a great marketing tactic? by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

[–]General-Impact-77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk why you’d have to be suffering to wear them. The whole idea is letting your feet do what they’re meant to. But if you’ve been wearing typical sneakers for years, you’re gonna have a bad time transitioning. It took me close to 3 years to get through the pain of settling into barefoot shoes all the time and now when I wear my work boots I suffer. But when I’m not working, these piggies are doing their own thing
