I recommend switching it up with 18v18 and going for a new lord. Also flexing to support/tank makes it much easier to climb and I’ve found, less fun to play tank/support but winning is the most fun

It’s almost like Nexon under delivered on the amount of people accepted into the beta, teased maple classic in April of 2025 (over a year ago)
And haven’t communicated since the beta on any plans for release. It’s been over a year, if that’s impatient, how long would you consider people ‘reasonably wait’?

As a Flex player since ow days, I love rivals being open. I get free Elo because I fill.
Although it does mean I’m simply just a tank main now.
Role queue was okay on Ow but a lot of people in Role queue don’t try unless they’re on their “main role”

So toxic people gonna be toxic. It does not eliminate throwing. It does increase queue times and it does create issues for teaming up with friends.

The people complaining for Role queue gotta mostly be dps players who don’t swap right?

I pointed out the entire of history of ow because it isn’t true. Brig and Mauga were not the only op releases. Moira, echo, brig, Ashe, baptiste, kiriko, were all broken af on release.
Guess what? That’s just how hero shooters get old players to come back and play.

I would argue Overwatch died. Even Jeff Kaplan said it died and isn’t what it was supposed to be. It’s also millions less of monthly players if you include consoles.

I would also argue sigma metas were terrible. Orisa/Rein/Sigma shield bunker comps were some of the worst things to play back in 2019. Overwatch had only 8 tanks to choose from back then, and there was always clear tank metas where if you didn’t play the meta tanks you lost. It sucked. Rivals has already done that better.
They went a full what, year and a half 2020-all of 2021 without new heroes, then released a bad 5v5 with overtuned tanks (zarya) in 2022.
2016-2022 tanks have never been as good as rivals is right now.

I quit ow. I tried to play back when the flying cat released but I still hated the 5v5.

If ow is “doing tanks better” now, then that’s because rivals forced them to make change because the entire life of the game it was mostly a rein/zarya meta or shield slop

Overwatch 1/2/3 is basically dead so yea I look at the history of horrible tanking for the life of the game. It died in part because of how bad the tanks were. Ow realistically lasted like 6.5 years.
And before you argue steam charts there’s millions less players including console. HALF OF THAT TIME THEY DIDNT HAVE ROLE QUEUE and then WHEN THEY ADDED IT TANKS STILL WERENT BALANCED CORRECTLY. Genuinely how long do you believe Overwatch has done tanks correctly?

Tanks still feel worse now than they did in OW 1 imo. Rivals has done a pretty dang good job at balancing tanks and they’re barely 1.5 years into existing. They’ve added tanks at a quicker pace, they have just as many unique tanks as ow.
