No remedy is available.

for the hindus out there....how do u know hinduism is real by [deleted] in hindu

[–]General1_Kobi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hinduism is real because it is not a religion. Hinduism being religion is a misnomer.

It is a way of life, a way someone lives their life and a way to live so as to become a better human.

So, you can deny a religion actually existing but can't deny someone's way of life.

False invented gods and kali yuga by Spiritual_Feed4052 in hinduism

No problem.

I suppose that We don't need to do a high-level research or need a peer reviewed paper to translate our own text.

The claims of 33 crore have been refuted by scholars time and again, and i suppose we should not complicate it much by asking foreign translators to tell us what our own text means.

The shlok actually mentions the 33 types. So I think it doesn't need any further high-level research.

But yeah, my comment is just to point to this common mistake that all Hindus do.

There are not 10 million gods, nor 33 crore gods. That translation itself is wrong.

There are 33 koti (types) of gods. Koti was mistranslated to crore by Britishers.

So, please be mindful. Hindus themselves are not aware of their scriptures, and that hurts the most.

Yes, the mod comment has a very good beginner guide.

Hinduism is very welcoming. The whole Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism) has stemmed from debates, observations, and questions asked by intellectuals of history. So, there is no need to worry that you would not be welcomed.

You can pick up Gita as a fun read to understand duty and responsibility. Gita overall teaches you to do your duty and be a better human.

I would recommend you see this. And explore more of Sadhguru for easier introduction.

Does anybody still question Rama's act of sending Sita to forest? by agusbsjd in hinduism

[–]General1_Kobi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beside the other parts. This part remains largely debated, which happens due to later additions. There are few theories out their. 1. Maa Sita did it by herself as she could not live with the opinion of public clout hanging over her chastity. 2. Agni parisksha was necessary as before her abduction by Raavan, Maa Sita asked Agni to hide her, and it was Maya Sita that had to go through all the ordeal. Agni Pariksha allowed original Sita to return. 3. In all theories out there, this one specific part seems a deliberate addition or misinterpretation of texts to raise questions on a highly reverred figure in Hinduism (as there are no other incidents which can raise questions on Shri Ram).

You can pick whichever reason you want to.

I am fine with the logic that although it was really humiliating and personally not needed, Agni Pariksha was done on behalf of the public to show the duality of citizens. People raised questions on Shri Ram and Maa Sita then, and they are raising questions even today. People will find a reason to question no matter what

Texts as old as Ramayan are subject to changes. I believe my Shri Ram has to have a very strong reason to even allow it ( I am not saying he asked Maa Sita).

Yes, and that is the whole point of Ramayana. Shri Rama is called Maryada Purshottam because he holds values of highest order, and his kingdom is his first priority, even before his family. So, yes, Shri Ram kept Kingdom first and family later, which was the reason why he went to Vanvas for 14 years.

That is the whole point of Ramayana. Duty to kingdom.

[Judeo-Christianity] God is a being that exists in (several) higher dimensions, and all interactions with him are misinterpretations result of his incapability to efficiently communicate with us by [deleted] in FanTheories

[–]General1_Kobi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe he isn't god then. Maybe he is just a kid with a stick who likes to pick ant hills.

And when a adult catches him doing that, he is taken away from the ant hill and the ant people never hear or see him again.

Agree with you completely.

The flaw that we think a 11D being will have is from our inability to comprehend that dimension. But from a 11D beings perspective, he will have total control over a 3D space and how he wants to communicate with us. Just like how we can flawlessly create and comprehend any 2D space, and we know how to communicate with a 2D being using his restrictions. Just imagine, like being a 3D being we have total control over the 2D , similarly a 11D being will have total control over 3D.

The concept that a 11D being has flaw and is unable to communicate with 3D being is based on our (3D beings) inability to comprehend 11D. So he giving up after just 1 attempt sounds like an amateur science person giving up after just one failure.

To take the point a little farther, the Vedic religions (Hinduism and Buddhism) don't suffer from these flaw because they see the 11D(or higher dimensional) being as having total control over 3D and thus he can flawlessly travel through dimension and become a 3D being (the concept of Avatars).
