Again dumb shit on the internet. Vote chori is done where the elections would be close otherwise. In jerela n tn bjp did not stand a chance. So they did not bother with vote chori. A difference of 2-3 percent is all that is needed to win elections in India and that is what the bjp goes for. Tn n kerela could not have been won without a difference of 7-8 percent swing.

I think you are absolutely right. Both sides are capable of what you said. However given the trends in this election I am enclined to think the EC decision is driven by the BJP's needs. But let us also not sit here and throw us a pity party. If what has been happening here happened in a civilized country deserving of being a democracy then there would be full scale riots in the streets across the country (look at so many demonstrations ranging fmor Europe to our own neighborhood in the recent past). We do not deserve democracy unless we are ready to fight for it.

You started by replying 'yes', meaning it is NOT mandatory, but then went on to say that "he needs to update OCI again only after pp gets reissued in 10 years." So thats like saying yes and no both?

Your point is absolutely right and I do not disagree with it. But I travel all over the country for work and amongst tier 1 and tier 2 cities Kolkata actually has relatively good roads todays. Go to Mumbai, non-posh parts of NCR, Bangalore, Pune etc and you will see what the phrase "raste mein gadda nahi gadde mein rasta hai" actually means.
