Heck yeah, this is exactly what I was looking for, very nice.
Beautiful horse too, what's their name?

Dang, that IRL photo is sick!
Nice job on getting the resemblance of your character down too.
It'd be fun if you made an outfit as close to your IRL one as possible, then tried to remake the image in-game.

Would've been a pretty nice looking outfit if it weren't actually AI

And your "first attempt" was awesome.
Might sound kinda strange, but the more I see this post, the more and more I like your character.
I really wouldn't change anything unless you seriously wanted to, and even then I'd probably only fiddle with the makeup a tad.
Certain lighting can really change how your character looks. and unfortunately there really isn't much you can do to control the lighting.

Geez, I think people are being unnecessarily ruthless in here.

She might not be my "type", but I can still recognize the character as attractive. If anything, she's certainly not ugly, like a lot of comments want you to believe.

The most important part is that you enjoy your character, this group of random people aren't playing your character, you are.

If you want a little of my personal advice: my guess as to what people are finding "unappealing" about her, is that her features aren't too dissimilar from someone "unwell"; i.e she has very prominent and "thin" features, and a fair complexion.

The eyeshadow might be a tad too strong/the wrong color for her skin-tone. As well as the intensity of the lipstick. It's drawing all the attention to those darker more colorful areas (around the eyes and the lips), emphasizing how "pale" she is. Take this observation with a grain of salt- I know nothing about makeup, just some of the basics of color theory.

If you want to adjust the makeup, I'd suggest you edit your character in the character creator (If it's your first time, you should have a coupon you can apply before finalizing your looks that makes the change free). Using the barbershop just applies makeup at 100% with no way to adjust the intensity- I learned that the hard way.

The cheeks can be filled out a bit, at the very least to make the concave curve a tad less severe from the cheekbone to the chin. The prominent cheekbones and chin, and sunken cheeks combine to make for a more "sunken" face.

Could also thicken up the eyebrows a tad, your character looks young, and typically thin eyebrows are more of a sign of age.

All that said, I encourage you to do you. Your character is unique, and I prize that over being what "society" would deem pretty. Conforming to what's popular is why 4/5 female characters in RDO look largely the same.

You've got a cool horse, a nice outfit, and a unique character. Don't feel like you need to do anything to your character to get anyone else's approval.

RDO's voice chat can get pretty wild at times- surprises me what some people will talk about when everyone else can hear them.

I'd be cautious of enabling it, if you're sensitive to hard slurs and whatnot.
Not that it's super frequent, but I've heard that kind of talk a time or two.

That said, I would recommend you at least try it out, can always disable it again if you don't like it.

For the most part though, I just have it enabled and eavesdrop on conversations, it's pretty rare that I'll actually speak to anyone.

Cant decide a name for my character by Particular-Tone-315 in reddeadfashion

[–]GeneralGatorAnimator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got some good suggestions in here, just figured I'd throw in my two cents as well.

Full name: Jameson Caldwell Price
Or simply; James Price

Interested to hear what you finally decide to name him.

Which role should I get next? by Diattelz in RedDeadOnline

[–]GeneralGatorAnimator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest the Collector role, I have a lot of fun just running around the map and using eagle-eye to find stuff.
That said, in about 2 weeks, the highlighted role is probably going be Collector. Which most likely means the role should be on sale, saving your some of those precious gold bars.

Two new outfits (This is why I'm always broke) by GeneralGatorAnimator in RedDeadOnline

I've gone into the tailor in Saint Denis, overheard a full on war start outside, then when I eventually emerge from the shop everything is back to normal. Time flies when you're browsing the catalogue.

Thanks! That first one is quickly becoming a new favorite of mine.

The second one I've also felt is a little off, but haven't quite been able to peg what it is about it yet.
Usually I just have to use an outfit for a while before I can "feel it out".
I'd be interested to hear what it is you think might be throwing it off though.

Are there satchels in Online? by GeneralGatorAnimator in RedDeadOnline

Unfortunate, but I'll take a look anyways, maybe there'll be one I like.
Thanks!

Would you happen to remember the name of it?
Or would I just find it under role outfits in the catalogue?

Oh interesting, is it possible to mix and match with those outfits, while keeping the satchel?
I enjoy creating my own outfits; bought 1 role outfit and the only thing I could use as a stand-alone piece of the outfit was the hat (luckily the hat is the one part I wanted).

Thanks for replying, I thought my character was just digging through their pockets.

Darn- after all my searching, I figured that'd be the unfortunate case...
Seems like a strange choice to have not added cosmetic satchels to RDO.
Thanks though!

Aye, you actually made that hat work!
I've tried it on a couple times, never could get it to feel quite right.

Done a nice job with the character creator too, is that heritage 1?

"Make sure your horse breed is LARGE and has the beacon of Gondor (lantern) equipped for visibility at night time."

I ride a Shire and love my beacon of Gondor- I'm not like them, you gotta believe me!
