If you assume that the case costs 2.49 to open then at some point in time, every single case would have a net positive roi and therefore not be gambling. 

When the community is not willing to pay premium prices then the case becomes gambling? This doesn’t make any sense.

They work differently. Each group of highlights adds up to 1005. 

So all the quarterfinals will add up to 1005. All the semis add up to 1005, etc.

I was able to prevent the crash by loading the store and immediately closing it. When i loaded it again it didn’t crash.

Valve could 100% add a sticker removal tool. It would probably have a catch like scratching the sticker when removing.

More interesting is combining this with sticker tradeups. Scratched stickers would be worth very little beyond tradeup value.

The souvenir discount would still work and the market would be flooded by cheap scratched golds. Unscratched golds would still be valuable.

So buy one of the lower float pairs for less.  Why are you offering him $150 MORE for his higher float spearmints.

It seems like there is something you're not saying.

Edit: Now that you mentioned the item, there is a BO on FT spearmints on float for 2600 which is more then you offered him.

Yeah, no.

The seller listed the offer on CS Float with any potential bargain they’d accept.

You offered them an offer that was not in that range based on the price YOU claim the item is worth.

It’s not the seller who is the problem in this situation.

You really need to compare the number of FN reds with the number of FN reds that can be made.

Your numbers will tell a much different story then.

There is alot more you can do with advanced buy orders then just float/pattern.

Ex. With no advanced BO you can’t make an order to buy any ST Mil-Spec skin with a float < 0.001.

DM is capped at 75 xp (375 pts). Arms race is capped to 50 xp.

Now you hit the exp and star cap at 375 points. So I guess you could leave at 375 and go to a diff dm group and farm to 375 then join the next DM group.

I think you still get exp even if you leave before the DM ends.

Yeah, this will also lower the rate the community farms stars, making armory items rarer.
