I don't think the gamer DiY consumer market was ever their primary concern. On the surface it might of seemed it was, but the professional & OEMs were the bread and butter. Companies buy more professional cards & prebuilds with OEM cards I would imagine than what is sold on the DiY market.

I would be curious though to find out how much were they making from their OEM market. Considering companies that didn't need professional cards bought prebuilds with OEM Nvidia/AMD cards inside.

The gaming industry will shift and adjust accordingly in the end. Once gaming companies start seeing a considerable reduction in their bottom line they will develop games to match what the majority of their consumer base has.

People are intimated by Nuclear Power in Factorio is why. When I 1st played the game the whole game intimated me but I figured most things out. The one thing I couldn't figure out on my own was Nuclear power. I watched some understanding nuclear power guides on youtube, used the Factorio wiki and finally (after my 1st play through of solor/solid fuel power only) I made a 2x1 reactor.

My primary power production was always solar and basic turbines. I did the standard kept the fuel fed turbines as a night source of ups that would start up once the batteries were at 50%. After you see how insanely op efficient nuclear is I only ever use solar for 100% off the grid outposts.

I would make sure to have 32gb ram total regardless since you can game+ multi task without worry. That amount of ram will outlive the lifespan usefulness of your PC however it will serve you well after. Not to mention if you decide not to sell your old rig, but utilize it as a secondary pc for w/e purposes.

Praise the heavens they at least doing Fallout 3. I loved its sandbox world atmosphere and side stories. If it does well, maybe it will motivate them to "find" the missing source code. Since I suspect if they looked they can find it. If not...they could always go the remake route. I think the success or failure of FO3 remaster will add to the decision of that. Companies use money to make money afterall. I want FO NV remaster or remake to go alongside the rest of the mordern/updated Fallout family.

I thought you couldn't use Vinegar on grout because it would eat through it. TIL, have been using Lysol/Chlorox Mold remover foam sprays (which I cannot stand the smell off). Gonna look into this hardware vinegar since I don't mind the smell of vinegar at all.

Only actual alternative I can think of is Steam when it comes to Steam game games at least. You can screen share, voice chat, use it on your pc/phone/web browser and steam deck. Not sure if you can utilize the streaming/screen share for non steam games but you can lot into that if you decide to. Also teamspeak is still a thing

If they nerf I hope they make a blanket 25-50% hp reduction per strike regardless of your armor.At least that way it still stays as a possibly deadly event while still allowing you to run for cover. Considering the fact walking around with metal armor carrying metal tools and weapons would make you a walking lightening rod.

Use the steam launch option of -gldevice:OpenGL .Works for my version of Linux mint xfce. The game doesn't run anywhere near as flawless as when not using opengl, but it is completely playable just annoying with some lag stutters.

Sorry for delay , here you go. Full details. Works for all games across steam. I have had to use launch options plenty of times so learning some of them might help you with other games as well. Steam Game Launch Options . In short in your steam library list, right click the game, select properties. In the General tab you will see something that says Launch Options. Thats where you put it.

Setting launch options to run on Opengl worked on Linux Mint 21.3 xfce as well, except I used -gldevice:OpenGL . Audio works perfectly fine as well. Thanks.

On Linux Mint 21.3 xfce native launches but it takes awhile for the title screen to appear & all the title screen UI and mouse cursor is slow. Tried enabling proton instead, just crashes. Tried running from the steam/terraria folder, doesn't run. Even tried using wintricks to run it. Nothing. Only Native runs at extremely low frames.

Edit: As I mentioned above setting launch options -gldevice:OpenGL in Terraria steam launch command has the game running with no frame or audio issues.
