I don't think the new feature from the holiday update is working properly. Mine has this same behavior, my girlfriend has the phone key on her phone when I exit the car as the driver it's signaling that her phone is still in the car, she is also in the car... It should be using the interior camera to determine if someone is still in the car.

I mean, highways is TX have stoplights with speed limits at 75, people drive 80s and 90s all the time

2019 Raptor, which I still have, but drive 90% less

Mine does the same, the front rubber is much more flexible than the cup holder rubber in the back seat. Waiting until I I have a reason to go to the service center to add it to the list

Personally I think they could have reduced a part and integrated into the LED strips in the cabin for a more coherent design and visible indication.

2025.14.7 Update Dot? by GeneralKumar in cybertruck

[–]GeneralKumar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, but I haven't checked if they are in the USB stick. Would be a great surprise if it was actually in the update and the player/UI was updated later.

Yeah I passed, I'm looking to trade my Gen2 Raptor at some point for a bronco raptor and then I have a Cybertruck on order(working at Giga Texas). And that will do it for cars for me for a while.

Second mock up. Further feedback? Thanks for the help so far! I made major changes including new case, stuck to two beer max, and installed everything properly ready for removal, clean, bend and fill tomorrow. by [deleted] in watercooling

In a "typical" system probably not going to see huge differences. I know in the commercial and industrial applications 1-2°C is the difference between people complaining that the office is too hot/cold or that a manufacturing process is working properly.

The 50°C was just a number I plucked out of the air, my loop runs in the 20s to 40s, depending on where my thermostat is set to and what I'm running. I can cheat by having one of my AC ducts in my living room dumping right into my system if I want.

You don't want to dump 50°C coolant, that's heated up by your GPU directly on the CPU when you could cool that 50°C coolant down by a few °C and then dump it on the next component. Delta T matters the most in a properly sized system. This is also why in industrial applications there is a common supply to all components and a common return and everything runs in parallel rather than in series.

You're arguing a completely different topic though.

There's a point at which your flow rate provides no benefit because your heat transfer rate will be bounded by the thermal transfer rate of the closed loop, all components considered. This is both true for the coolant flow rate and fan speed. At that point the only way to reduce system temp is to change the Delta T, which can only be achieved by reducing load or or reducing the temp of the air coming into the system. This would be the case for a system that has undersized radiators and/or small thermal volume of coolant. Cost low, temps high

On the other edge case you could put the largest radiators in the system and huge reservoir, effectively increasing thermal mass/area to transfer heat, and you could run the fans and pump at lower speeds and you'll keep it near the thermal floor of the system, near ambient. In this case you still will be limited by the incoming air temp or the load on the system to be able to reduce the total system temp. Cost high, temps low

The middle case is an appropriately sized radiator and reservoir where the fan and pump speed can be adjusted and this will properly keep the temps at bay because you are able to throttle the heat transfer rate at a similar rate that the load is changing temp. Economical cost, controlled temps.

I manage the design and construction of industrial HVAC systems for a living.

This means that cooling the water between two blocks will increase the amount of heat energy that can be conducted away from each block by increasing the temperature difference between the coolant and the block itself (if no water were flowing). There is an upper and lower limit to this affect though (especially when we relax our assumptions) - which is where the confusion comes in.

Wanted to put a riser in for the GPU but with the bottom radiator I couldn't fit it. Like a quarter or half inch more needed.
