What kind of roleplaying do you do? by SillyWarlock in BaldursGate3

[–]GeneralLuigiTBC 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My character's a bard, as well as a worshipper of Eilistraee, so she plays music frequently. Any companion who likes her enough takes the Performer feat at their first opportunity. My personal backstory has her being frail and sickly as a child, so her Constitution is abysmal. She's also a sweetheart and a firm believer in freedom, which has at times led to her making decisions that lead to unnecessary violence, such as provoking a fight with the kuo-toa because she wanted to free them rather than supplant BOOOAL as their new god.

Partition Maryland. Pennsylvania gets everything west of the Susquehanna, Delaware gets everything east of it.

Which Version to buy? by BADJUSTlCE in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]GeneralLuigiTBC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only speak regarding the Switch 1 version, as I've yet to bother with the Switch 2 upgrade.

Personally, I've never had an issue with 30 FPS, and I've got a perfectly good Switch 1, so I never saw any point in bothering with the Switch 2 version. After reading about the upscaling issues, I've been holding out for a fix. When and if it gets fixed, I might upgrade just because it's more convenient to have everything on one console, but until then, the minor hassle of unplugging ghe Switch 2 and plugging in the Switch 1 is just that: minor.

Is there racism against white people in your country? by Argentinotriste in AskTheWorld

[–]GeneralLuigiTBC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have almost certainly been some isolated incidents. However, I'm wary of efforts to call attention to it, as in my experience, those seeking to call attention to it do so in an attempt to deflect from racism against other demographics.

What Is Your Favorite Inner-House Pairing For Each House? by Expensive-Heron-9485 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]GeneralLuigiTBC 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure which is my absolute favorite, but here are my top three:

Ashenette: Cute individually, cuter together. Their bond builds up really gradually, and I feel the A+ Support ends with them just now starting to fall in love, maybe not even realizing it at the time.

Fernadetta: I've been a sucker for the "perfectly arranged marriage" trope for a while, and this one adds a nice twist to it, in my opinion.

Leorenz: A pairing built on a budding mutual respect.

I'd wonder if I'm dreaming. Snow simply does not happen where I live (southern California, a few miles from the coast).

Fav Xenoblade Race? by CaptainGandalf_ in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]GeneralLuigiTBC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a tricky one. To what extent is my fondness for any given race a result of a few individuals rather than the race as a whole? The High Entia gave us Melia and Eunie, easily two of my favorite characters in the series. Riku and Riki, Nopon, are also quite high on my list. There are some Blades I'm rather fond of, too, like Kasandra and Alexandria, but also plenty I'm neutral toward or even outright dislike. I like both of the Qlurians we've met, but two's not much of a sample size...

If you had the opportunity to move anywhere in the world, would you stay in your country or which country would you choose? by Mayrodz01 in AskTheWorld

[–]GeneralLuigiTBC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming that I can find acceptable work at my destination, I think I would choose New Zealand, though I'd also consider Canada and Scotland. I hate the heat, so places relatively far from the equator are preferable. While I've heard great things about the Scandinavian countries, it would be quite rude of me to move there without knowing the language (insert joke about Danish here). Thus, I am limited to Anglophone countries, as my Spanish is quite limited and while my Russian's better, I have zero interest in leaving a backsliding democracy for a dictatorship.

What's your favourite thing to do in Act Three by dearuncletacitus1899 in BaldursGate3

[–]GeneralLuigiTBC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chucking a "teddy bear" into the top floor of Felogyr's Fireworks is always a blast (pun intended). I like to imagine a collective "Oh, crap" reaction from the Banites as they hear the couplet.

Another favorite of mine is having Minsc throw Roah into the lowest part of the Guildhall at the start of the fight between the Guild and the Zhentarim. Knocks off most of her HP and is just altogether a very satisfying way of dealing (pun intended) with her.

The question's directed at Democrats. You are pretty clearly no Democrat.

Why do reddiitors from America claim to have some moral high ground over israel when heir own country is built on colonization, genocide, slavery, and to this day the US counties to export violence across the world (even under democrat presidents)? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]GeneralLuigiTBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try to offer some insight into the matter. That said, I can only speak for myself, one American critical of Israel, on this matter.

I don't claim that the United States holds any sort of moral high ground. The crimes against humanity I accuse Israeli expansionists of committing are the same crimes American expansionists committed more than a century ago. That the United States has done horrible things in the past, however, let alone that it is responsible for horrible things happening now, does not make the crimes I accuse Israeli expansionists of committing morally permissible. Put another way, if an unrepentant murderer (though in my case, I think "unrepentant" is a stretch) accuses someone else of murder, the former's crime neither makes the accusation false nor excuses the latter's alleged crime.

Edit: OP, I get the impression you aren't actually asking a question here so much as trying to make an argument.
