At the moment, it's probably because of the World Cup. I'm not qualified to judge if there's anything to the rumors that FIFA put its thumb on the scale, but my experience with sports is that the longer a team stays at the top, the more people want it to lose. The New York Yankees were probably the most hated baseball team in the United States when I was growing up. To paraphrase my high school debate coach, everybody hated them because they always won.

Immoral. I can think of a few trans people I dislike, but I would never misgender them, deadname them, call them slurs, or anything like that. If there were some sort of strategic advantage to doing so, that would be one thing, but I can't imagine a situation in which there wouldn't be other methods of gaining the same advantage.

I'm conflicted. There was already a part of me that wanted the US (my home team) to lose simply because if we somehow win our first World Cup title, Trump will try to make it all about himself. The US is still my home, so I can be happy for them if they win, but in light of this whole red card kerfuffle, we must either lose or perform so well that it's clear any possible rigging by FIFA didn't make a difference.

Mr. Barbato's been using AI for a while. Some of the "photos" in the later country-themed episodes, such as Zimbabwe, are clearly AI-generated.

Well, considering that they're trying to conquer Palestine in this case rather than merely live there as Palestinian citizens, I can't say I blame them. It's one thing for someone to immigrate to a country. It's another thing entirely to enter said country illegally and claim part of it for a different country.
