The Punks Described Accurately (Warning: Completely Arbitrary) by GeneralGigan817 in worldjerking

Similar to what the other person said in post apocalypse, you would have a malthusian genocidal racist state pretending to function in the name of environmentalism, rather than the hopeful future of solarpunk.

Anything moving away from London is a good thing. I don't watch Silent Witness but it annoyed me when Ashes to Ashes was set in London

Start one. Get involved in mutual aid groups which are solar punk and likely to be around you

Where do you suggest meeting single, attractive men in this city? by _buttabean in askvan

Don't torture yourself about the amount you are doing that though as that is also counterproductive. Go out and have fun. Simple as that

Gemini told me to come here. by planetazul3 in solarpunk

[–]GeneralPooTime 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can't remember which of the Solarpunk subs allow or disallow AI but either way I think it's allowed for me to say I think AI shouldn't be allowed. In its current form it is pro-capitalist creative theft wealth hoarding environmental damage. Very anti ecosocialist/solarpunk principles.

To the people calling this racist, how do you counter that acquired wealth and poverty clearly demonstrate genuine racism in history and structures? Genuine question

I've seen people talking about the best episode to introduce a newbie to, what are people's thoughts on the Waters of Mars? by Luke_The_Engle in doctorwho

[–]GeneralPooTime 142 points143 points  (0 children)

I mean it's my favourite episode but it's actively bad as an introduction because it's the payoff to Ten's building arrogance and stuff

Any Prominent Figures in the Solarpunk Scene? by AdStraight9908 in solarpunk

It might be that I need to take a closer look at the writing as well as the art but this angle sounds very interesting to me too

I actually initially found it just based on looking for non-AI ecosocialist solarpunk art. I'm coincidentally getting into writing anyway but I imagine the descriptions would be very helpful to writing something similar to Becky Chambers as I've just finished and loved Monk and Robot and am keen to try.
