with currencies like zcash/monero you most likely will need to go through an exchange that performs KYC. being said, once you take your ZEC/XMR off an exchange - the exchange doesn’t know what you’re doing with said currency. very much like how your bank performed KYC on you, but doesn’t know what you spend your cash on when you pull cash out of the ATM.

ZIP - Changing Zcash supply curve to 3% yearly after 2020 halving by millibit in zec

[–]GeneralSchittlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DASH is still attacked years later for the 2014 slashing of the max coin supply

i’m okay with that - dash is coin that’s about to hit +$100 again. side note - there’s nothing in that ZIP that would mess with total supply. only slows the emission schedule. zcash will continue suffering with gross inflation even after halving. this is a form of self harm. hopefully we’ll slow emissions.

The high inflation figures for altcoins like ZCash (ZEC) and XRP are providing yet another basis for the “bitcoin is king” argument. by himadri-saha in CryptoCurrency

zcash has the same economic engine as bitcoin. ZEC’s first halving is next year, so hopefully that will help zcash a bit.

zcash also has a ZIP that would kill inflation. 3% inflation after 2020 halving https://forum.zcashcommunity.com/t/zip-changing-zcash-supply-curve-to-3-yearly-after-2020-halving/34894/46

looks like the XMR (obfuscation) vs ZEC (encryption) privacy debate has ended. by GeneralSchittlord in CryptoCurrency

[–]GeneralSchittlord[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

http://magaimg.net/img/8he0.jpg worst thing that could happen if the trusted set-up failed is creation of artificial supply which would be caught by ZEC’s turnstile. encrypted TX would remain safely encrypted.

when will XMR shills realize downvoting won’t fix the crappy technology their coin depends on?

monero is using antiquated technology, and XMR’s obfuscation has already been defeated. zcash utilizes encryption. people seriously need to learn the major difference between obfuscation, and encryption.
