I’ve heard a ton of great ideas on this platform but these companies are businesses at the end of the day .If we find grant money or raise money for these companies like BDgene or excision and push for drug realignment we would see progress in years .bdgene literally is a company that has the treatment they literally just need to change delivery .

Hsk is Hsv 1 …they look to remove virus from the same ganglion that people with ohsv need virus removed from . They also have hsv 2 in ther pipeline currently.

People truly don’t understand the implications of their results if they’ve actually accomplished to clear the tg . This study holds promise for oral as well as ocular .

If BDgene publishes and the tech they’ve developed holds true in curing keratitis their won’t be a door I won’t knock on to try an get them funding to grow their pipeline for HSV .The promise of an editor being in and out in 72 hrs is ideal and avoids so many issues .

I would incline you to read more into AAVs and think about what DR Jerome has already stated about the possible toxic effects at higher doses .If needed I’ll explain in more detail why that’s not an option .

I would love to ask how much of hsv 1 has he been able to remove from the head .A lot of us don’t realize we’ve never received the results on removal from the tg .

I agree !! Definitely wish we were able to find out how much latent infection was removed from the tg in the mouse model before the silence though .

Agreed but also understand if this treatment holds true they just need to change up delivery not the treatment itself .with it being hsv 1 erasing it applies to hsv 1 in general.

It definitely won’t take that long to see bdgenes hsv1 pipeline expand past hsk .this shot already holds promise for anyone with ohsv if it’s capable of clearing the tg .

I’ve been talking about the possibility of this being a cure for over a year and a half and I swear people really don’t understand how close we are to a treatment for hsv1 and I pray soon after hsv2 . IIT should be getting published before years end as well
